🇬🇧 Boris Ursus, the Red Tsar or Radii Bokha — whom I started painting a few years ago, and as is often the case with me, I ended up painting full armies ready for play in the meantime, while the unfinished Tsar waited and gathered dust. Meanwhile, I managed to complete a campaign in Total War: Warhammer 3 as Kislev — with a happy ending for this fascinating nation located in the Old World. And he kept patiently waiting to be finished — and now he finally is. Let’s hope he also gets to play his first game in 6th or 7th edition WFB.

W czwartek 15.08.2024 miałem przyjemność zagrać kolejną grę w Warhammer Fantasy Battle na 6/7 edycję w czeskiej Pradze. Wstępnie planowaliśmy zagrać wielką grę dwa na dwa po 1,500 tysiąca punktów na gracza plus dodatkowo dla strony Bretońsko-Imperialnej – dodatkowo Gotrek i Felix, zaś po stronie Orków&Goblinów oraz Skavenów uzupełnionych Thanquolem i Rozpruwaczem Kości. Plany te nie wyszły i zamiast tego Ludek z Martinem zagrali dwie gry przeciwko sobie, a ja z Petrem zagraliśmy jedną. Plan na większą grę pozostawiamy na przyszłość. Naszą grę stoczyliśmy w Ogri Doupe.
On Thursday, August 15, 2024, I had the pleasure of playing another game of Warhammer Fantasy Battle for the 6th/7th edition in Prague, Czech Republic. Initially, we planned to play a big two-on-two game of 1,500 thousand points per player, plus Gotrek and Felix for the Bretonnian-Imperial side, and Thanquol and Boneripper for the Orcs & Goblins and Skaven. These plans did not work out, and instead Ludek and Martin played two games against each other, and Petr and I played one. We are leaving the plan for a bigger game for the future. We played our game in Ogri Doupe.
Jaskinia Ogra. Ogri Doupe.Rycerze Grala, zbrojni, łucznicy w rozproszeniu, rycerze królestwa… Grail Knights, Men at arms, archers in skirmish, Knights of the Realm……& konni giermkowie/mounted squires.Miecznicy z wsparciem, wielkie działo, włócznicy z wsparciem, halabardnicy z wsparciem, hellblaster, kusznicy, moździerz i rajtaria. Swordsmen, spearmen and halbaldiers units with detachments, great cannon, hellblaster, crossbowmen unit, mortart and pistoliers.Imperium rozpoczęło ostrzał, kiedy Bretończycy się modlili. Empire started fire, when Bretonnians prayed.Pierwsza tura Bretończyków. First turn of Bretonnians.Mniej niż połowa rycerzy Graala dotarła do walki. Pistoliers on the rear.Waleczni łucznicy zatrzymali jednak rycerzy. Valiant archers held against brave knights.Pogoń za uciekającymi niedobitkami łuczników. Pursuing after remnanst of last archers.Miecznicy zebrali się. Swordsmen rallied.I uderzyli na zbrojnych rozbijając ich szyk. Then charged on men at arms breaking they formation.Bohaterscy łucznicy zatrzymali szarżę mieczników. Brave archers held against swordsmen charge.
Podsumowanie: – na prawym skrzydle udało mi się rozpędzić rajtarię ostrzałem z łuków, moździerz wybuchł, rycerze królestwa przetrzebieni ogniem kusz i nie tylko zmniejszeni do połowy zaszarżowali i rozbili kuszników, po czym wrócili po piekielny miotacz który szczęśliwie się zaciął. – na lewym skrzydle po pogoni za niedobitkami łuczników celny strzał z działa wyeliminował z potyczki mojego generała i chorążego, ostał się pojedynczy rycerz Graala z chorągwią oddziału. – starcie zakończyło się remisem lub wynikiem bardzo zbliżonym do remisu. – dla Petra to była druga gra przeciw Bretonni i pierwsza w WFB, na starcie ostrzegłem przed tym co może zrobić oddział Rycerzy Graala. – po naszych popołudniowych rozgrywkach wybraliśmy się doborowym gronie Ludka, Martina, Petra i Radka na zasłużone piwo i posiłek do U posty. W U posty serwują czeskie piwo oraz przeróżne dania – mi bardzo posmakowało ostatnim razem danie o nazwie – Variace smažených českých sýrů w skład którego wchodziły trzy różne zapiekane sery, frytki i zielenina z dodatkiem sosu. – dzięki kompanio za świetny czas, oczywiście wrócę!
Summary: – on the right wing I managed to disperse the cavalry with bow fire, the mortar exploded, the knights of the kingdom, decimated by crossbow fire and not only that, reduced to half, charged and defeated the crossbowmen, then returned for the hellish blaster which luckily jammed. – on the left wing, after chasing the remnants of the archers, an accurate shot from the cannon eliminated my general and standard-bearer from the skirmish, a single Grail knight with the unit’s banner remained. – the clash ended in a draw or a result very close to a draw. – for Petr it was the second game against Bretonnia and the first in WFB, at the start I warned about what the Grail Knights unit might do. – after our afternoon games we went with a select group of Ludek, Martin, Petr and Radek for a well-deserved beer and meal at U posty. At U posty they serve Czech beer and various dishes – I really liked the last dish – named Variace smažených českých sýrů which consisted of three different baked cheeses, fries and greens with sauce. – thank you guys for great time, I will return!

On last Sunday (2.06.2024) during my visit in Prague I played two games in old, good WFB 6/7th edition. First game I played on Thursday with Ludek in Ogří Doupě – place I know from previous visits and events. Second game I played on Sunday (before we left Prague) with Martin in place I visited first time and I like it – Rubikondeskovny – hope to be there again someday!
Vinohrady– sleeping there, drinking and eating – enjoying Czech cuisine, enjoying WFB with friends from Prague – love this district. About Prague I dedicated few posts and there will be one or more again, as I love this city and it citizens. So long time ago everything I’m in happen after my welcome post on WFB 7th edition group – thank you Archie for answer.
So a Battle for Tatuv Garden begun:
Right flank of Bretonnians secured by famous Grail Knights.Center with three great core units.Knights Errants on the left flank.Empire army in all of it glory.Some loses after first round of Empire black powder magic phase. Tatuv Sad – great cider and I can say that as person prefering beers.Got some loses from magic and blackpowder magic – Virtue of Noble Disdain keep them brave.Empire pistoliers fled after being charged by Knights Errants. Running up after halfling and his mate KoTR meet Empire infantry. Several different situations on the field of battle. Feur said artillery master from Hellblaster volley gun…Knights of the Blazing Sun pursuing my Grail Knights.… then his machine exploded.
Summary: – thank you Martin for great game, hope to play one more – in WFB for sure or maybe I will come to Prague to play on some Old World event. – our game at the end was DRAW. – it was great to visit Rubikondeskovny – wish to be there again – thank you Lukas from Rubikondeskovny for great talk. Hope to be there again in next few months. – thank you Martin for going with us to Florenc – at least some more time on talk and few Czech beers. – again and again theory that world is small place happend as by „accident” I meet brother of one of my friends and we talked about one other system.

On last Thursday (30.05.2024) I managed to visit Prague for few days – most of time I spend on visiting various places and I will write about them on my blog in coming days.
Few weeks before I managed to inform my friends from Prague that I coming and asked if anyone is willing to play old 6/7th edition of WFB. Fortunately for me Ludek and Martin had time and were willing to play with me. First game on Thursday I played in Ogří Doupě with Ludek on 1250 points per side.
Both sides were represented by fully painted armies of classical miniatures produced by Games Workshop.
So it begun, Battle of Kozel valley started:
Middle and the right flank of Bretonnians.Left flank of Bretonnians secured by famous Grail Knights.Giant keeping left flank of horde secured.Middle of the greenskins horde composed of chariot and savage arrer boyz.Both sides of the Battle of Kozel valley.My damsel has two spells Mistress of Marsh and Rain Lord, first cast and I got Miscast.Grail Knights lowering they lances toward a mob of Savage Orcs.Knights Errants willing to prove they skills against giant previously wounded by archers.One more charge on the left flank – Grail Knights in full impact charged Savage Orcs…Clash in the middle beetwen goblins and men at arms.… jet failed to broke them and were charged from the flank by Boar Boyz.Knights Errants horses almost killed giant, jet almost is too less. They shared the same fate as Grail Knights – being charged from a flank by Savage Orcs Arrer Boyz.One less to roll on morale and Grail Knights would stay…… but they failed, fled and being routed by orcs.Archers sending arrow after arrow.Infantry bravely fighting in the middle.Ride forth to charge the orcs!Pretty nice beer which I bought for our game.Fast and murderous combat…… who run away one day, can fight another.Men at arms realized that Giant is hungry, turned and run away.
Summary: – thanks to Ludek for great game! – at the end we had Draw 10:10. – hope to play again in the future.
W ostatni weekend kwietnia 27-28.04.2024 miałem przyjemność wziąć udział w wydarzeniu organizowanym przez Rafała ‚RaV’ Kozielskiego związanym z starym dobrym WFB na 6/7 edycję – poprzednio z różnych względów – tak ludzkich jak i też czasowych nie było to możliwe. O ile rozkręcaliśmy we Wrocławiu granie w WFB z Maniexite od czasów poznania się w Planszóweczce to żałuję, że Rafała poznałem dopiero parę lat temu, ale zawsze lepiej późno niż wcale – może wcześniej moglibyśmy razem z Marianem i Rafałem działać razem w tematach związanych z WFB.
O samym MISFIRE – wydarzenie było, jest i będzie dedykowane graczowi z Opola, kryjącemu się pod pseudonimem „Żuku” – który dla organizatora i wielu osób z Opola i zapewne nie tylko był przyjacielem, kumplem, dobrą duszą. Odszedł do być może lepszego świata, ale pamięć o nim pozostanie, dopóki my żyjemy i tradycja MISFIRE będzie kontynuowana. Niestety osobiście jako gracz który pałętał się od Centrum Gier na Igielnej, Ogryna w Feniksie, Barda w Pasażu Niehofa czy na końcu przez chwilę Sfana nie miałem okazji go poznać, internet się rodził, a ja nie byłem graczem wyjazdowym. O Adamie ‚Żuku’ Pieszczuku więcej można przeczytać we wpisie który powstał w lokalnym wydaniu opolskiej Gazety Wyborczej i jest dostępny TUTAJ. W skrócie – ‚Żuku’, działacz społeczny chcący pomagać takim ludziom jak on sam – z niepełnosprawnością, zarazem gracz, którego niestety nie miałem okazji poznać – spoczywaj w pokoju kolego.
Od Remo: Żuku mimo niepełnosprawności korzystał z życia jak mógł. Graliśmy w battla, jeździliśmy na turnieje, jeździliśmy na wycieczki na basen, chodziliśmy na dyskoteki. Poza tym był bardzo inteligentny, wiele godzin z nim przegadałem o życiu, polityce.
Co mogę powiedzieć o MISFIREwydarzeniu w formie turnieju – jest to super impreza dla wszystkich graczy starego, dobrego Warhammer Fantasy Battle w wydaniu edycji 6/7 – podręczniki armijne z 6 edycji, podręcznik z edycji 7. I to co stanowi o tym, czy w daną grę czy w system chce się grać na takich wydarzeniach, czy się też nawet na nie nie trafia – najważniejsi są – ludzie. Nieważne skąd by byli – to jednak oni są najważniejsi – mimo wszystko, to co kto sobą reprezentuje jest najważniejsze dla mnie i zapewne dla większości osób pojawiających się na tego typu wydarzeniach czy to jest organizowany przez Rafała MISFIRE, organizowane przeze mnie i Maniexite WROHammery czy wiele innych tego typu wydarzeń które w Polsce gromadzą sympatyków starego, może nie idealnego, ale nadal lubianego WFB. Ludzie na MISFIRE dopisali – mimo, że The: Old World odebrał nam chociażby we Wrocławiu kilku graczy, w tym bywalców poprzedniej edycji – trudno. Ci co pojawili się stanowili klasę samą w sobie, a mieliśmy graczy z starego, historycznego śląskiego – z Katowic, Opola, Wrocławia i z Krakowa.
Miałem sześć świetnych gier po kolei z: 1. Konstantin (Gdańsk) – Bretonia 2. Jasiek (Wrocław) – Wysokie Elfy 3. Rafał (Wrocław) – Skaveny 4. Remo (Wrocław) – Demony Tzeentcha 5. Jonasz (Opole) – Bretonia 6. Przemek (Katowice) – Krasnoludy Chaosu

On the last weekend of April, April 27-28, 2024, I had the pleasure of taking part in an event organized by Rafał ‚RaV’ Kozielski related to the good old WFB for the 6/7 edition – previously, for various reasons – both human and time-wise, it was not possible. While we started playing WFB in Wrocław with Maniexite since we met in Planszóweczka, I regret that I met Rafał only a few years ago, but it’s always better late than never – maybe Marian and Rafał, together with me and Rafał, could have worked together on topics related to WFB earlier.
About MISFIRE itself – the event was, is and will be dedicated to a player from Opole, known under the nickname „Żuku” – who was a friend, a buddy, a good soul for the organizer and many people from Opole and probably not only. He has gone to a perhaps better world, but his memory will remain as long as we live and the MISFIRE tradition will continue. Unfortunately, personally, as a player who wandered around the Centrum Gier on Igielna Street, Ogryn in Feniks, Bard in Pasaż Niehof and finally Sfan for a while, I did not have the opportunity to meet him, the Internet was being born and I was not an away player. You can read more about Adam ‚Żuk’ Pieszczuk in the entry that was written in the local edition of Gazeta Wyborcza in Opole and is available HERE. In short – ‚Żuku’, a social activist who wants to help people like himself – with disabilities, and also a player whom I unfortunately did not have the opportunity to meet – rest in peace friend.
From Remo: Despite his disability, Żuku enjoyed life as much as he could. We played battla, went to tournaments, went on trips to the swimming pool, and went to discos. Moreover, he was very intelligent, I talked with him for many hours about life and politics.
What can I say about MISFIRE, an event in the form of a tournament – it is a great event for all players of the good old Warhammer Fantasy Battle in the 6/7 edition – army manuals from the 6th edition, the manual from the 7th edition. And what determines whether in whether you want to play a given game or system at such events or you don’t even go to them – the most important thing is – people. It doesn’t matter where they are from – they are the most important – after all, what they represent is the most important for me and probably for most people appearing at this type of events, whether it is MISFIRE organized by Rafał, WROHammery organized by me and Maniexite or many other such events. the type of events that in Poland gather fans of the old, maybe not perfect, but still popular WFB. People at MISFIRE contributed – even though The: Old World took away several players from us in Wrocław, including regulars of the previous edition – it’s hard. Those who appeared were in a class of their own, and we had players from the old, historic Silesia – from Katowice, Opole, Wrocław and Krakow.

Podsumowanie: – jedno z fajniejszych wydarzeń w którym brałem udział, obok jest lokalny Middle Earth: SBG i Bolt Action w Poznaniu, aż kusi by zorganizować kolejnego WROHammer’a. – bardzo fajni ludzie, co jest tym, co trzyma ludzi przy graniu w stary, niby martwy system – on wcale nie jest martwy i wg mnie bije cały czas na głowę The Old World który nie jest zły, ale czegoś w nim brakuje. – dzięki RaV za świetne wydarzenie i każdemu z osobna za przybycie i sześć świetnych gier!
Summary: – one of the coolest events I took part in, next to it is the local Middle Earth: SBG and Bolt Action in Poznań, it’s tempting to organize another WROHammer. – very nice people, which is what keeps people playing the old, supposedly dead system – it is not dead at all and in my opinion it still beats The Old World which is not bad, but something is missing. – thanks RaV for a great event and everyone for coming and six great games!
Settlements in northern Bretonnia from time to time were burning, they citizens dissapeard to be never saw again. On the order of the King Louen Lencouer baron Louis de Beauville started investigation in coastal area of Lyonesse to check what is going on and who is responsible for acts of destruction and thievery.
My lord, the men sent to the village of Lens have not returned, it is already the second day. Baron looked at his knight and spoke – tell the men, that they must be ready, we will march out in the morning.
A foggy morning in the village of Douai, knights and men-at-arms are preparing to set off – when suddenly a crying girl with a teddy bear ran into the village – what happend? Damsel of the lady Elena asked in a soothing voice. They came from nowhere, they catched villagers. Gotrek stumbled out of the tavern – they’re here – Druchii – he spat on the ground – then let’s put them to the ground!
Settlement of Douai.Several days before battle Gotrek and Felix arrived to local tavern.Bretonnians ready to bravely defend Douai.Lady Joan – one of the few ladies knowing how to use sword.Druchii cames for slaves and treasures.Bretonnians around they leader charged to break invaders lines.Gotrek and Felix runned to help archers.Knights of the Realm charge was stopped, Druchii assasin jump on brave Bretonnian warriors.Archers attempt to stop Druchii with volley of arrows.If you not break enemy, enemy will attack you from all sides.Then will pursue you. Brave knights losed combat and runned into the village.Brave charge of Bretonnian commoners and battle standard bearer.Knights rallied around they leader, Gotrek and Felix turn back to the main square.Bretonnian knights won combat and get in touch with Druchii corsairs.Baron Louis during retreat took crying girl with teddy bear and run as fast as his horse could.Felix got heavy wound and Gotrek after that wiped out unit of Druchii…but soon was surrounded and due mercy of Shallya survived with Felix, under pile of Druchii corpses.
Summary: – we played scenario from Dark Elves 6th edition army book. – one of my charges could be game changer, but wasn’t. – with many loots and slaves Druchii marched back to they ships. – thank you Bartek for great game!
How it could be with a little imagination, as war never changes.
„Legends tolds that in Albion is ancient tower hiding powerful knowledge” – Truthsayers words were magical to all knights gathered in Beauville castle great hall. „My lord” – said sir Roget – duc de Beauville son – „Can we go there? This wise men cannot lie, I have contact in Brionne and can provide fleet for us, to go there and get it”. Duc Tancred, wise and brave men heard voices of his knights and guests – „we should take it, for the Lady and for the King”. Duc stand up – all knights and servants fell silent – „sir Roget, my son let’s organize few ships and galleon to protect them, sir Louis – let gather our retinue, we should march to Brionne when sir Roger came back.” Truth sayer, druid of ancient cult of Mother Earth smiled – maybe those knights will help him with ancient problem keeping tower.
So be it, Bretonnians from borderland of Parravon and Quenneles under Duc Tancred de Beauville arrived to misty island of Albion, after several days of march, lead by mysterious Truthsayer they arrived to the mystical tower, but from the mist other force came. „So it begun” – said Duc.

Two headed, mutated by warp Chaos dragon.First turn belonged to horde of Chaos deamons and warriors. First charge belonged to Bretonnian Pegasus knights.They managed to break Chaos Knights, but…… knights rallied.Chaos spawn of Slaanesh charged.Everything moving, situation changed a lot.Flamers of Tzeentch with they god inside moving insanely forwards.As I forgot mounted squires, Marian borrowed me Bergerac bowmens.Lady Agnes spured her horse and moved to cast Master of Woods. Charge! Charge! Charge!Damsel Caroline tried to take down Tzeentch wizard. With damsel Agnes almost destroyed his disc.Trenuchet tried to hit dragon but without success. Misfire was my first effect.Knowing no fear, Knights of the Realm charged. Deamons of Tzeentch came back to Chaos domain.Pegaus knigts charged from back. Grail Knights took almost every charge.Chaos lord was probably in shook smelling wine drunk by young Bretonnians knights – „How they could drink that shit?”Pegaus knights retreated and flying away as fast as possible. Mere yards before reaching archers magic killed wounded spawn.Fight continued with many lack from Bretonnian side in case of morale. Finally remnants of the Knight Errant units said enough and runned away. Dragon used breathe fire and burned some archers with flame and acid. Tzeentch wizard charged on flank, but without doing many loses was without chance and was pursued by Knights of the Realm.Run away lads said lady Caroline.„Who runs away one day, can fight another day.” – old Bretonnian peasant quote.Trebuchet crew did last stand, without chance – but they passed they leadership test before.
Summary: – great game, probably more talk than game as I was there for around 6,5 hour. – we played in 6/7 edition on 2,000 points per side. – we did some mistakes, at least we will not repeat them in the future 🙂 . – Leśnica in Wrocław and going to Marian mansion is trip of around two hours using legs and city communication, still it was good to be there again.
Yesterday we played small battle on 1250 points beetwen my Bretonnians and Łukasz Empire.
Bretonnians left flank.Grail Knights.Bretonnian right flank.After first turn units moved.Pistoliers and handgunners take down many noble Knights of the Realm.Massive joined combat beetwen Bretonnian KoTR, men at arms and Empire spearmen with detachment of halbeldiers.Flank attack – at the end I losed my best unit.Final charge which resulted in draw.
Summary: – good game, I guess it was Empire victory, suppose 12:8 or 15:5. Thank you Łukasz for great game! – it’s my last attempt to make WROHammer alive, if I fail shadow of me could be seen playing WFB, but never again I will try to organize anything related to this system, at least I can see that this scenario wouldn’t happen now. – as making Old World alive again we started playing Mordheim, to be sure I will play both, Mordheim and WFB. Thank you guys who joined our small group playing Mordheim – it’s really nice to see ppl I know from other systems like Bolt Action or other systems, to play together. – still searching for a job, not sure if I want to be a software tester – probably would like to test games of any kind, but cannot get in that industry.
Today we played final of the league started last year – more details HERE. We played in Bolter and we had a lot of fun enjoying our games. From me I want to say big thank you to Krzysztof, for taking seriously idea I throwed on tournament I organised last August, many thanks, you did great job!
Today there were five of us from eleven players involved – many thanks to Rafał – organizer of MISFIRE that he took place of person which cannot be there.
I played first game with Alessandro, my Tilean friend of many games – we had Draw 10:10, then I played my second game first time with Rafał and from start I was thinking to not do mistakes, I losed 15:5 – it was great game anyway, hope we will play again. For my third game I became photographer on my will.

Summary: – the first place belongs to Alessandro, second to Bartek and third to me – we had great fun, to be sure we plans another league, but first we need to take some rest after that. – thanks to all participants and I hope to see you again, as I find enough ideas and power to organise more smaller WFB events, probably for smaller points as well. – we turn back to 6/7 edition, at least we have such plan with some limits. – of course, I want to go to Prague from time to time to see and play with my Czech and German friends there.
