Helm’s Deep/Helmowy Jar/Pasaż Grunwaldzki Niedziela, Kwi 30 2023

W niedzielę 30.04.2023 tak się stało, Cornholio sprawił, że graliśmy w Pasażu Grunwaldzkim bitwę o Helmowy Jar. I zagraliśmy, był to festiwal mangi i anime, mnóstwo osób odgrywało różne role w Cosplay, a my z Łukaszem odgrywaliśmy nas, graczy, którzy w najważniejszym momencie na kości K6 rzucają 1. Mieliśmy trochę ulotek z miejsca w którym zawsze gramy i mieliśmy okazję rozmawiać z różnymi ludźmi, byli wśród nich fani twórczości Tolkiena, fani gier RPG którzy dowiedzieli się o nocy tych systemów w Bolterze.

On Sunday of 30.04.2023 it happend, with Cornholio we played in Pasaż Grunwaldzki battle of Helm’s Deep. We played, there was a lot of manga and anime, many Cosplayers and me and Łukasz playing as gamers, players who rolls in most important moments on D6 – 1. We had some hundresds of leaflets from place we play and we had many occasions to talk with different ppl, among them were fans of Tolkien, fans of RPG’s who were informed that there are nights of RPG in Bolter and among other events there.

Mur został wysadzony, ale brakło nam waty by to ukazać. Wall was blown up, but we hadn’t had cotton to show effect.

Summary:
– it was great to be there anyway, but I see that I’m to shy for such events.
– it was manga, anime and one of the greatest tabletop system Middle Earth: SBG – Cornholio and Tancred, it was great!

Middle Earth SBG: Master in Wrocław 2023 Wtorek, Kwi 25 2023 

Games Workshop and Lower Silesia and Middle-Earth and Poland tancreddebeauville 22:16

On last weekend (22-23 of April) in Wrocław we had an tournament in Middle Earh SBG: Individual World Championship (in polish Indywidualne Mistrzostwa Wszechświata). In large hall of Politechnika Wrocławska were a lot of tables and 64 gamers of 68 formerly enlisted, playing each other six games for eternal glory and good fun. This event was organized by Marian supported by Pola and a group of people, responsible for different things from finding a place up to organizing some transport.

Event had following sponsors:
Bolter – wargaming and rpg store in Wrocław
Playmaty – shop with game mats and other accessories
Unreleased Miniatures – shop with miniatures

In addition Bolter supported this tournament with numerous game mats and terrains, accessory for seven tables were provided byWarsaw team. To not forget – players from Wrocław community provided their own terrains and mats.

W ostatni weekend (22-23 kwietnia) we Wrocławiu odbył się turniej w Middle Earth SBG: Indywidualne Mistrzostwa Wszechświata. W wielkiej sali Politechniki wrocławskiej było mnóstwo stołów i 64 gracz z pierwotnie zapisanych 68, grających sześć gier dla zdobycia wiecznej chwały i dobrej zabawy. Wydarzenie to zostało zorganizowane przez Mariana, wspieranego przez Polę i grupę osób odpowiedzialną za różne rzeczy, od znalezienia miejsca do grania, po zorganizowanie transportu.

Wydarzenie miało sponsorów w postaci:
Bolter – sklep z grami bitewnymi i rpg we Wrocławiu
Playmaty – sklep z matami i innymi akcesoriami do gier bitewnych
Unreleased Miniatures – sklep z figurkami do gier bitewnych

W dodatku Bolter wspierał turniej licznymi matami i terenami, akcesoria dla siedmu stołów przywiozła drużyna z Warszawy. By nie zapomnieć – gracze z Wrocławskiej społeczności dostarczyli także swoje tereny i maty.

Summary:
– this year I was there only as a support, usually observing Cornholio battles and moving around with camera, original plan for me was to go to Prague for WFB – event done by my friends.
– it was great to be there and next time I would like to participate as player.
– Wrocław will organize Master next year, so if you want to come, just come!

Podsumowanie:
– w tym roku byłem tutaj jako wsparcie, przeważnie obserwując bitwy Cornholio i włócząc się z aparatem dookoła, oryginalny plan był taki, bym był w Pradze na WFB – wydarzeniu organizowanym przez moich przyjaciół.
– było wspaniale być tutaj i następnym razem z chęcią będę uczestniczył jako gracz.
– Wrocław zorganizuje Mastera w przyszłym roku, tak więc jeśli macie ochotę wpaść, wpadajcie!
– dziękuję organizatorom i wszystkim którzy brali udział – Lublinowi, Warszawie i reszcie! Mam nadzieję zobaczyć was znowu!

Middle-Earth SBG: Before April master in Wrocław Sobota, Kwi 1 2023 

Bolter.pl and Games Workshop and Middle-Earth tancreddebeauville 21:19

Today, 01.04 in Bolter, Wrocław we played tournament organized by Marian on 1,000 points – with Legendary Legions – at least I had opportunity to paint my Three Hunters – Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas which I did yesterday. Reassembling Aragorn without instruction yesterday was my greatest success anyway.

I’m still learning game and I know that Dunharrow is not army for tournaments, but maybe I will discover how to play it on tournaments. Anyway good time spend there, all game were great with Wojtek, Jan and Piotrek. So it begun somewhere in the Middle Earth.

Wrocław Master is here. I’m not sure, but probably there are some places to be enlisted.

First game with Wojtek, unusual for me as good vs good is civil war in the Middle Earth.
Second game against Jan Mordor, at least good vs evil. Great game as game before.
Again good vs well fighting good. Thank you Piotrek for great game!
Hitting, not wounding… ehh, Legolas.
Thank you Łukasz, for just going out after and few beers. We should repeat all sequence anyway. Three good games and few beers after.

Middle-Earth SPG – Helm’s Deep/Helmowy Jar Niedziela, Mar 19 2023

I think it was on the beginning of February – first Saturday when before I had some issues with my health and at the end I was sick at home office work for one week, felt great and then finally after weekend went to doctor and got some antibiotics. At least during weekend when everything was good with me we managed to play with Łukasz siege of Helms Deep. I took much more photos and after looking on them I left only small gallery. Finally Sauruman servants blowed up wall as in the movie, but didn’t went to the main bastion.

Myślę, że było to na początku lutego – pierwsza sobota kiedy przed miałem trochę problemów z zdrowiem i będąc chorym pracowałem z domu przez jeden tydzień, poczułem się lepiej przed weekendem by w ostateczności pójść do doktora po antybiotyk. Przynajmniej w trakcie weekendu wszystko był w porządku i udało nam się zagrać z Łukaszem szturm na Helmowy Jar. Zrobiłem o wiele więcej zdjęć, ale po tym jak je przejrzałem zostawiłem tylko małą galerię. Ostatecznie słudzy Saurumana wysadzili kawałek muru jak w filmie, ale nie byli w stanie dostać się do głównego bastionu.

 

LoTR: Dead of Dunharrow vs Easterlings – 450 points Czwartek, Mar 2 2023

Last Wendesday we played a game on 450 points with Łukasz, I played with The Dead of Dunharrow and Łukasz took his Easterlings cavalry.

My two bands – one with the King of Dead and another with Herald. Łukasz had one big band and one composed of two models.
Rolls for initiative – my dices are blue.
Our objectives were four white dices placed on the table.
Many of slaves of Sauron were affraid to charge on the Warriors of Dead.
Still some of them charged on left and right flank of ghosts host.
Spirits of ghosts collapsed under hoves of horses. King was among them.
Duel beetwen King of Dead and Amdur, Lord of Blades were full of just ordinary rolls in such a moment.
Ghost warriors bravely survived cavalry charge and started repelling Saurons minions attacks.
The final moment, before few more Easterlings left the field. Final score was 3:1 for me.

Summary:
– it’s time to start painting Rohan then Gondor and Mordor to have some bad boys and getting some more models to those armies.
– Dunharrow – like it, but some times losing with it is spectacular, the same as winning. This army is expensive in points and with eniemies with higher weapon skill there is problem to win combats. Anyway I will try to play with them, as I like this army.

 

Middle Earth: Dunharrow vs Dol Guldur Czwartek, Lu 23 2023

Today I played a game on 450 points against Dawid’s Dol Guldur – it was great game and again I know that I had to paint some more army than Dunharrow, as they are limited to two units and two heroes – King and Herald of Dead – of course, in legendary legion I can take Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas – but on larger amount of points.

Our target was to secure objective points – white and orange markers.
Still learning how to play it more competentive – my force at the start were facing both enemy warbands.
Having cavalry is big plus – you are fast and can be everywhere.
Fight started, as I tried to reduce Dawid’ force.
Wolfs joined fight in the middle.
Less and less spirit host.
Saying fight to death is something wrong in case of long dead warriors.
At the end – only sword wielding warrion on top right survived.

Summary:
– it was great game, thank you Dawid!
– I’m still learning and I know that for 450 points games I should just paint Gondor or Rohan.
– have to paint Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas for Dunharrow – on higher points I need them.

 

Middle-Earth: Pass to Dunharrow Środa, Lip 20 2022

Yesterday I played with Łukasz our campaing beetwen forces of good represented by Dead of Dunharrow and many different servants of Sauron controlled by Łukasz. We played scenario where both players started deploying in oppositive corners of the table

Summary:
– it was Dunharrow victory 6:0,
– I had luck or Łukasz hadn’t it on the left flank, where his elite was stopped by long time cursed dead.

 

Middle Earth: A battle for hidden relic Sobota, Czer 18 2022 

Games Workshop and Middle-Earth and Mordor and The Dead of Dunharrow tancreddebeauville 08:00

Yesterday we played with Łukasz small game on 500 points per side – we played scenario, where six tokens are placed on the table – one of them is relic. Relic can be found after model get in contact with it and 6 is rolled – then all other tokens are removed from the table.

I found it behind those stones on left.
Most important battle, I thought I would be smashed to a dust.
Final countdown.

Summary:
– it was great game, I won it 11:1 but I was more lucky than usual during our games with Łukasz. Had to paint some Gondor, for some variety of troops.

 

Middle-Earth: A stolen relic Piątek, Maj 6 2022 

Corsairs of Umbar and Games Workshop and Middle-Earth and The Dead of Dunharrow tancreddebeauville 21:37

Today evening we played Middle-Earth with Łukasz on 600 points per side. Łukasz played Corsairs of Umbar and I took my only painted Dead of Dunharrow. We played scenario where were six places, where artifact of old was probably hidden – to find it roll of 6 was necessary, after touching token with soldier on foot.

Berserkers from Umbar.
Both sides arrived.
Ghosts move around the field.
My plan was to first wipe out berserkers and then charge on the rest.
Main Łukasz unit.
Dead took many corsairs lives.
Łukasz found a relic, probably some lucky item of Numeronian times.
This fight is almost over.
Small unit of Dead of Dunharrow charged into the mass.
After most of the berserkers were out of action, King of Dead and his personal standard turn to the other side.
Berserkers started killing each other.
The End.

Summary:
– it was nice game, Łukasz won it 6 to 2 – 6 for having a relic, while I got 2 for having standard bearer.
– need to paint Three Hunters, to have some different unit in this army.

 

Middle-Earth: Corsairs vs Dead of Dunharrow Piątek, Kwi 22 2022 

Corsairs of Umbar and Games Workshop and Middle-Earth and The Dead of Dunharrow tancreddebeauville 21:38

Today we played with Łukasz three games in Middle-Earth. This system is generally one of the cheapest to start and play. Some armies seems to be easy ones to be painted – the best one is here, but Gondor doesn’t look complicated as well.

Łukasz won 6:5 over me..

Second game was fastest one

Less ghostly infantry in numbers.

I guess it was my losed game.
Third battle – Fog of war started in the middle of the field.
Cavalry charged on the left flank to take revenge on crossbowmen
If I’m correct third game was a draw, as no one scored points.

Summary:
– nice, small games.
– I have to paint The Three Hunters to get some valuable models to this band.
– I have to slow down and calm down (thank you H. for morning private message – it helped).
– I’m really tired of one thing I did in last few months. It’s not related to any of my friends or colleagues neither at work (to be sure I like all of you) nor any other. It’s related to too many things I had on me and it exploded in me afterwards. Now I’m thinking about what skills improve or relearn. New that SQL is a must have, also thinking how to return to long time ago forgotten Python with Selenium.
