On Friday I had pleasure to play my first game with Witosław and first game in Gods of War: Togo. It was great experience, I know that I want to play more games in this system and will buy some more warships and maybe one more fleet to play with friends who don’t own they own fleets. We played on 1200 points per player – I managed to field four warships, Witosław fleet of five (six – destroyers are two per base). So it will begin – my Russians fought against Witosław’s Spanish.

W piątek miałem przyjemność zagrać pierwszą grę z Witosławem i zarazem pierwszą grę w Bogów Wojny: Togo. To było świetne doświadczenie i wiem, że chcę zagrać więcej gier w ten system i zapewne zakupię więcej okrętów i kolejną flotę do grania z przyjaciółmi którzy nie posiadają swojej floty. Graliśmy na 1200 punktów na gracza, wystawiłem cztery okręty, Witosław flotę pięciu (sześciu – bo niszczyciele są dwa na podstawce). Tak więc zacznijmy – moi Rosjanie walczyli przeciwko Hiszpanom Witosława.

…without success. …bez sukcesu. Varyag sunk warship. Variag zatapia okręt.
Last warships of the battle go away – it was 32 to 36 – so DRAW. Ostatnie okręty odpływają – było 32 do 36 – REMIS.

Summary:
– good, fast system with activations – your warship, enemy warship etc.
– planning orders for next round – will be about it in another post.
– getting into the system is not expensive – all you have is fleet of several warships – all you need is several warships, rulebook, D6 dices and some different measures.

Bolt Action: Red Army 45 mm anti-tank gun Wtorek, Paźdź 25 2022

This is first time I managed to paint model – last time it was on the beginning on March 2022 – so my Red Army need some more reinforcement from pile of shame before Stalingrad campaign will start on December. So 45 mm light anti-tank gun M1937 (53-K) joined ranks of my Soviet Russia force. Model came from Warlord Games – I bought it several years ago and forgot that I own it unpacked. Anyway, it’s finished and more soldiers got new coat or even were assembled and be painted in a days.

I used different paints from Vallejo (Spray – Infantry Colour Russian Uniform, Spray – Colour Russian Green for gun) and Games Workshops (Kislev Flesh for skin with Reikland Fleshshade, Abandon Black, Administratorum Grey, Nuln Oil, Base Leadbelcher, XV-88 and Contrast Fleash Tearers Red) plus stuff recommended to me by Rafał – debris from Juneewela and texture from Scale75.

Hope to show more soon as December is coming soon.

To be sure it’s not end of this blog – I just reached extended limit and think what to do with increasing it – 13 GB was a lot of place, but I occupied them as fast in last few years, as I occupied unused desks im my former work 😀 . Maybe I will reduce some really old stuff to get some place. Stuff from bigger events and great terrains will be also presented here – on another instance I created

 

WFB: Start of WROHammer 7th edition league Sobota, Wrz 10 2022 

7th and Bretonnia and Dark Elves and Games Workshop and Warhammer and WROhammer tancreddebeauville 19:29

After one small tournament during holidays I dropped words about league and thankfully to Krzysiek we have it – here is official page of league – thank you Palen! So we have first round of good, old WFB. Some of us played in last few days: Alessandro with Piotr, Bartek with Adrian and me with Krzysiek.

First turn belonged to Dark Elves as Bretonnians prayed to the Lady. Grail Knights are so magnetic, that all magic hit them from start.

Another stuff I must take, along Grail Knights and pegasus knights.

Market Garden – A British bridgehead at Son Czwartek, Wrz 8 2022

Yesterday we played in Bolter first battle of Market Garden campaign, our first battle had place in Son, close to Eindhoven. Before game we had great prelection done by Piotr Galik from association Semper Fidelis. So it begun on 17.09.1944 – when American and British paratroopers when dropped down to secure bridges and allow Allied tank divisions moving thru them to the heart of Germany.

Last German survivors hidding in the forest.
Acht coma acht waiting.
German Heer vs American paratroopers.
German reinforcements arrived in small numbers at start.
More British arrived.
Royal Engineers managed to build part of bridge.
More parts of bridge were done. Veterans losed they hand to hand combat on riight against German regulars.
I forgot about second wave in turn two, so they started run on turn three.
Germans tried to stop British advance.
Bridgehead completed.
Everyone get out to cover bridgehead.
The beginning of the end.

Into the 3rd Reich – Outskirts of Berlin Piątek, Sier 26 2022

Today we played with Karol scenario where Soviet Union sappers were building bridge and German army had to prevent them from doing it. Additional points were for Red Army for crossing river via constructed bridge. I had force of 1100 points, as I was defender with my Red Army, Karol had around 1600 points. In addition I had free sappers constructing bridge. At this moment I cannot say more as scenario can be changed a little bit.

My list was something experimental for me and is here. Karols stuff is on photo on the plate.

Mortar ready to fire, but unfortunately it’s Friday and they had problems with alcohol.

I lost my ZiS-3 gun on the first turn…
… 8.8 luckily hit it. The last crew member fled his gun.

German infantry advances accompanied by Panther.
Tiger II arrived.
T-34-85 came in time.
Germans came close to now repaired bridge.
T-34-85 scored hit on Panther destroying it.
German scout car came close.
Indirect fire on new target.
Free rifle squad got promotion to Regular.
Hurry up, first Soviet unit crossed a bridge but was wiped out.
Germans hidden behind wrec of catheld Russians on the other side of bridge.

Summary:

  • it was interesting game and some kind of test we done as well. Thank you Karol!
  • In case of objective – it was Red Army victory, in case of dices Germans took more.
One of the Russian songs I love and understand as many words are similar.

 

Suburbs of Voronhez – war on eastern front Środa, Sier 17 2022

Today we played with Maciek battle in times before Tigers and Panthers arrived to eastern front. Both sides had they HQ close to front line and main target for each player was to take and destroy enemy HQ placed in tents.

Panzer I.
BA-6 advances.
Panzer I moved and started shooting on Soviet infantry, they officer said Down!
Meanwile on the left flank.
Red Army soldiers moved to take crossroad, but…
… Germans fired they MG-34 on truck destroying it.
Both guns were hat by mortars and destroyed.
Germans pioneers arrived finally.
All game under fire and without leader.
Germans took HQ, but they route to friendly lines could be difficult job at the end.

Summary:
– thank you Maciej for great game!
– it was Maciek’s German victory.
– my list – yet at game T-34 wasn’t participating – Maciek took less models – when I saw what he has, I said that for having fun game I will take down T-34.

 

Gods of war: Lee – Skirmish on Yellow Creek Sobota, Sier 13 2022

Today we played nice tournament in Gods of war: Lee organized by one of it’s creator – Maciej Molczyk – event happend in Bolter, Wrocław, PL. More about game is on GM Boardgames. Gods of war are avaible in Bolter – official distributor.

It was totally cameral event called tournament, I played with Maciej – creator of this system against his French and with Marek against Union. Big thanks to Wojtek, for providing me army of my beloved Dixie. My own army is not assembled with several exceptions.

Orders are given to the units after roll for initiative.

Patrol markers are important part of Gods of War: Lee.
Moving thru special terrain cost some inches. They went into the forest.
My first game overall.
French cuirrasiers.
Charging on cannons from the front is not greatest idea.
Confederates advances toward they doom.
Advance, fire and then if possible bayonnet .
We are a band of brothers and native to the soil
Fighting for the property We gain’d by honest toil
And when our rights were threatened, the cry rose near and far
Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star!
Situation went out of control.

Second battle – Union cavalry took crossroad.
I played too carefully in the centre.
I did that – cavalry and horse artillery did miracles.Absorbing enemy from the centre.

Summary:
– I prefer spirit of the game, don’t care if I win or not, meeting good people is most important point in wargaming for me. That tournament was great!
– thank you Maciek for patience, as I was late. My fault – playing Witcher till 5:00 wasn’t clever idea.
– will participate in next tournament, know it.

One of the best advertisement I saw. People are created for better things that wars. Just too many things on my mind. Wish peace in Eastern Europe.

 

Finland at war: outskirts of Vyborg Piątek, Sier 12 2022

Today in Bolter we played with Łukasz Winter War – 1200 points per side. Both sides had to control important crossroad and roads to the west and east of it. A

Crossroad was worth 3 VP. End of road on left and right were worth 1 VP each.
Sniper hidden on the roof.
Finnish T-28.
Finnish troops advance with Bofors 37 mm anti tank gun.
Right Finnish flank.
Left Finnish flank.
Most of Soviet troops were in the middle.
First lose of Soviet Union – BA destroyed by BA.
Finns took position in some encampment.
Soviet elite troops from NKVD border guards.
T-28 advance and start shooting it’s weapons against border troops.
Artillery barrage marked by dice with arrow was moved from initial position near Bofors.
Border guards understand that they went in wrong place.
Finns run to take control over road.
Bum, artillery barrage arrived – BA got many pins.
Long waited by everyone – FUBAR on veterans.
Mass run shouting: Huraaah!
Hand to hand combat – Finns took several prisoners of war.
Hand to hand combat – again Finns took several prisoners of war.
Keeping enemy heads down.
Finns keep Soviet infantry busy.
Most powerful tank in this battle make it – T-28 crew was to scary to come close to it.
More and more enemies.
Both roads ends secured.
Finns got 2 VP for controling west and east sides of road, Soviets got 3 VP for taking control over crossroad. In case of units eliminated Finns got many VP, but Soviet Union have unlimited reserves.

Summary:
– thank you Łukasz for great game.
– today it was my second game with Łukasz, first one was another attempt to correct Ambush scenario.
– we should remember story beyond and soldiers of both sides.

 

Duel in the sun: British vs DAK Czwartek, Sier 11 2022 

Bolt Action and Germany and Rubicon Models and UK and Warlord Games tancreddebeauville 22:45

Today we played in Marian estate small game which happened in the African desert not far away from Tobruk. Both sides seem similar – jet Germans were a little bit more mobile. Marian played DAK (Deutsche African Corps) and I took his British 8th Army.

Main target were to take and hold lone 8,8 anti air gun – holding it to an end was worth 3 VP, each unit was worth 1 VP. Half of units were placed 20″ from each corner and other half came in second turn as wave.

British arrived on the field.
Germans did the same.
Tommy – give artillery fire on Jerries position, hurry up!
Hans give me one more cartridge!
Matilda II slowly arrived on the field.
British attempt to got cover.
Some support from SAS arrived.
Germans took 8,8 and prepared for British assault.
Germans on BMW motorcycles arrived.
Hand to hand combat beetwen German pioneers and British infantry. Few Germans survived this combat untouched.
Almost in the cover.
Artillery barrage called by observer arrived pinning many troops and destroying German HQ.
1,2,3 feuer!
SAS and Matilda crew tried to save a day, but it was too late.
Matilda was immobilized by Panzer III, it crew left the tank as battle was over.

Summary:
– it was DAK victory over British Commonwealth – 10 to 3 VP.
– thank you for great game Marian from Maniexite.

 

General d’Armee – Prussia vs Russia (EN/PL) Sobota, Sier 6 2022

Last Tuesday we played with Karaś small battle in General d’Armee – we still learn this system and it was third game I played and second one with field marshal Karaś. I played with my Russians and Karaś played with his Prussians.

W ostatni wtorek zagraliśmy z Karasiem małą grę w General d’Armee – nadal uczymy się systemu i to była moja trzecia gra i druga w którą zagrałem z marszałkiem polowym Karasiem. Grałem swoimi Rosjanami i Karaś grał swoimi Prusakami.

Summary:
– Prussians took bridge and route Russians.


Podsumowanie:
– Prusacy zdobyli most i odrzucili Rosjan.
