Bolt Action: Urbanized area of Stalingrad Wtorek, Sier 29 2023 

Bolt Action and Germany and Red Army and Warlord Games tancreddebeauville 16:14

Yesterday with Sławek „Papiór” we played a game related to Warlord Games campaign Critical Hit. We used selectors for 1942′ and our game was in less urbanized area of Stalingrad. We played our game with platoons worth 1,000 points.

45 mm gun controlling whole crossroads.
Flame thrower team did a lot of job, unfortunately for Russian side.
Pionieers had to leave they car.
BA-3/6 tried to kill flame thrower team but without success.
NKWD bravely charged pionieers…
… then last one jumped back.
Russian scouts did good job here.

Summary:
– after six turns we rolled for turn seven – but I rolled three and we finished. Victory belonged to Germans, it was 20:10. Many thanks for Sławek for great game!

 

Bolt Action: Winter War – Border Patrol Sobota, Sier 26 2023

Yesterday in Bolter we played with Daniel our early war disputes – a battle fought beetwen Finnland and Red Army during Winter War. Our game was classical meeting engagement when more numerous Red Army supported by armoured vehicles assaulted on Finnish platoon composed of many veteran soldiers.

We added possibility to ram fences with trucks – movement outside of village was possible for non tracked units only with Advance order. Of course Finns knowing terrain were able to Run. Our game was on 1,000 points per side.

Small settlement with railroad and supply depot.
Beautiful buildings models created year and half ago for Winter War campaign.
Red Army mortar spotter hidden behind building.
Finnish sniper observing area from high church’s tower.
Maxim machine gun going on position.
BT-7 leading a way, behind it Russian conscripts.
BA-3/6 supporting left flank.
Finnish troops ready to repel invasion.
Finnish ready to repel invaders from they soil.
Bofors 37 mm stands ready to open fire.
To avoid gun tank turned left and broke some fences.
NKWD squad get out of truck.
Bofors was moved by it’s crew to better position.
Red Army squad took house.
NKWD charged against Finnish veterans…
and destroyed them as a unit.
Bofors scored a hit on tank, but tank survived and it crew was stunned.
Another charge on Finns inside charge and another losed unit.
This time Finns charged.
Another pointless charge happend.

Summary:
– thank you Daniel for great game! Your return to Bolt Action is one of the greatest thing of last weeks!
– we played six turns and we rolled for turn seven, but without success.
– victory belongs to Daniel and it was 6:3.

Daniel, I propose to play scenes from Talvisota movie – two tables, line of trenches, a lot of Russian tanks and infantry and on the other side Finns defending they own soil. I guess that Łukasz would like to join. We need more T-26 and more Red Army soldiers with rifles.

Finally I managed to paint Cirion for Middle Earth SBG from Games Workshop. Original set is avaible here and I have to paint Beregond which is part of this blister pack. I’m happy that one more model joined ranks of painted miniatures and left box of shame.

Today I’m not sure what I did with my phone, but finally I had to do those photos grey. We played with Maxim on 900 points in Bolter on veteran Friday evening.

Somewhere in eastern Germany 1945′.

After long time ZiS-3 gun again was in my list.
German SS and some inexperienced unit.
Running forward to do recon by fight.
Scouts and BA-3/6.
Engineer team after loosing the flamethrower to enemy fire.
Pioniers moved out from Hanomag.
German sniper opened fire on ZiS-3 crew.
Tankodesantniki advanced from they tank.
Red Army engineers opened fire on pionieers.
Lone leader weren’t able to survive charge.
My infantry, almost all losed as casultaties.
Failed morale test on SS was this roll to make difference beetwen my victory or draw. It was 4:2 for me in dices.

Summary:
– thank you for one more great game Maxim.
– today there were one more game in Bolt Action and one more in Chain of Command – both systems are just different, both have pluses and minuses, both are good rulesets.

Light tank of Russian Red Army – used for scouting roles, defence of HQ and similar roles. More than 8,000 were produced – more about it HERE. Model ordered and bought in Bolter, design by Warlord Games – really good resin tank.

General d’Armee: The Revenge of the Refused flank. Sobota, Sier 12 2023

Today in Wrocław, PL – in Bolter greatest gaming centre we played one more great game in General d’Armee – today coalition of Austria, UK, Russia (including Poles loyal to the Tzar) fought battle against France. As a group we are players from Wrocław, PL, Ostrów Wielkopolski (thank you Jędrzej!), Bartek (living in Truntow, CZ). We are open to just play with ppl outside of our community – we play once a month there. Next time is 03.09 – it’s Sunday!

Our team, usually we go for a dinner after game – today I played Bolt Action after. 8 hours – my spine, something is not good at all.
Russian brigade deployed.
Hold the ground!
Ready, aim, fire!
Russian cavalry – Polish Uhlans and Don Cossacs charge!
Don Cossacs give up.
Both sides fired a lot of bullets.
Russian artillery joined shooting.
French right wing looked strong, looked.
Polish Uhlans after some loses decided.
To leave the field.
Austrians are coming to support Russians.
Fighting in the town, no one controlled it – both sides were there.

Summary:
– thank you guys for meeting and who cares about results of the game? In case of who was winner and loser – at the end good side was in better position.
