Grałem swoimi Rosjanami i Karaś grał swoimi Prusakami.

Today in Bolter.pl, Wrocław, Poland we played struggle beetwen those bad French plus Polish Vistula Legion and Prussia, Russia and one Poland regiment in the service of Tzar Alexander. Our battle was on two flanks and unfortunately flank held by Prussia got too many attacks from French side – they were broken.
Russians in the column. Rosjanie w kolumnie marszowej.French and Polish line. Francuska i Polska linia.Prussians waiting for some more paint. Prusacy czekający na więcej farby.Russians and Polish Uhlans held flank. Rosjanie i Polscy ułani utrzymali skrzydło.
Summary: – we wait for September to play something bigger.
Podsumowanie: – czekamy na wrzesień by zagrać coś większego.
🇵🇱 W zeszły piątek Kuba „Karaś” i ja w końcu rozegraliśmy naszą pierwszą partię w General d’Armee.
🇬🇧 Last Friday, Kuba “Karaś” and I finally played our first game of General d’Armee. It was a chance to try something new, as this was our first time with the system. We decided to skip some of the special rules, such as Fog of War, which looks like a very interesting addition once we become more familiar with the core mechanics. At first, all those tables seemed quite intimidating, but once we got started, everything became much clearer.
🇬🇧 Summary: – thank you Kuba for a game, it’s seems that we will play in it in the future. It was our first game, so I try to think all things I saw during our game play in General d’Armee. – we played six turns, so it was good game on Friday evening, we started around 19 and finished a little before 22:00. – thank you Rafał for proposing rulebook for General d’Armee, after some talk how to improve playing in Napoleonic times. I still like Black Powder from Warlord Games, but we should also play system from TooFatLardies studio. – there will be one more article when I gather my thoughts – as on Friday (17.06) I played first game and on Saturday (18.06) I played another game with Tomek.
Today we played scenario done by „Gargamel” – there were Adam Polish Vistula Legion, Bartosz and Jędrzej French on one side and Kuba Prussians, Tomek British and my Russians on the other side. French were escorting some important guns and others had to prevent them from doing it. On right side of the table were Alpine Mountains were French army was marching.
Adams Polish Vistula Legion.Russians advance to take enemy guns.French column during march. All on one. Single Russian battalion stood they ground.French cavalry ride on the British wing.Russians battalions marched on the left and right with artillery support.French cavalry charged on Russian artillery.Artillerist runned away for they lives. Some hand to hand combat in the middle.I thought it’s the end of my batallion, but…… but it was end of one French unit which turn it tail and fled.
Summary: – nice game, but too many random situations. I think that we need to update some rules. – battle was over after turn 5 and several unlucky charges done by French cavalry.
🇬🇧 Today we planned to recreate the Battle of Katzbach (Polish: Kaczawa), but Rafał, who came up with the idea, couldn’t make it. Instead, we played a game with Prussia (Jakub) and Russia (me) against the forces of Napoleonic France (Jędrzej).
We played at Bolter and used all those beautiful terrain pieces from their storage. Thank you, Adam and Rafał, for everything today. Both sides had to control the key crossroads and the graveyard in the center to win the battle.
🇬🇧 Summary: – it was victory of Prussian-Russian alliance, – great game – thank you Kuba and Jędrzej and Bolter staff, – it’s one of the simplest and cheapest system to start, – unfortunately there were only three of us today.
