Today we played with Tomek battle on 1250 points per side, using 7th edition rules. Tomek played Chaos Warriors and I was playing Empire and Kislev force.
Empire and Kislev.
Knights Panthers lead by their captain.
First turn belong to Empire – 6 vs 1 on rolling who is first.
This time cannon managed to destroy chariot.
Chaos spawn in it madness moved fastly forward.
Empire and Kislev light cavalry on flanks
Ungols tried to shoot down enemy beasts.
Leaving last living hound was mistake.
Pistoliers did the same on the other flank.
Spawn charged by knights survived first round of hand to hand combat and was joinded by marauders with flails.
Ungols horse archers declared retreat from Chaos knights. One last hound came to Winged lancers, smelling mear.
Knights Panters armour was too much for northmen – jet they were weakend by spell of Nurgle.
Cannon lost all his targets, as all were in combat.
Ungols managed to kill two Chaos Knights.
After killing Chaos hound lancers rolled too low and were charged by both – Chaos chariot (Dragon Ogre model) and Chaos Warriors.
Few turns later boyar leading unit heavily wounded left field on his loyal steed.
Situation on right flank was better than on left.
Pistoliers joined fight.
First Knight Panther losed in this combat.
Situation of handgunners doesn’t look well.
Knights Panther’s lowering they lances.
Handgunners from Bergsburg left field in panic.
Summary: – it was our first game and first Tomek’s game after eight years. – we played on smaller points and we agreed to play on at least 2,000 points next time. – it was nice game and final result could be something around draw.
Last Friday I took one more day to start my holidays (thank you Piotrek) to travel north, to city of my friends – Gdynia. I had to go on Friday, as I’m creature of night and have problems with waking in the early morning – plus travel from Wrocław to Gdynia by train long lasts five and half hour. I wanted to be fresh on tournament in Warhammer Fantasy Battle in Rumia next day. Those tournaments were making me tired twenty years ago, so now it cannot be better. I was there for three days and it was great travel. I can recommed Gdynia for everyone – it’s great Polish city and one of the youngest.
Bed & Breakfast Żeglarz – really nice place in Witomino.
Witomino, district for live – east to centre of Gdynia.
There so many green areas, not like in my belowed Wrocław.
There were events in the city – running, biking and probably something else. No runner was catched by my camera.
Sport school with mural.
Modernistic church and it tower.
Aww, model stopped me.
One of the main streets. My Bretonnians have the same liveries as Gdynia’s buses and trolleybuses.
Older building – remember that Gdynia is really new Polish city and has city rights from 10 February 1926, before Gdynia was village. Polish 2nd Republic had access to sea, but without harbor – Gdańsk was free city, but generally it was German.
Some modernistic and older buldings.
I love those city, it’s infrastructure.
HQ of Polish Navy.
I guess that this is dedicated to our Bałtyk Sea.
Everything we can do on the sea – there are trading aspects, fishing – don’t remember all.
Biggest sacrifice and spilled blood will become a living testimony to the existence at the Polish seaside. 20.09.1939 admiral Józef Unrug.
Modern building next to the harbor.
John Paul IInd was here.
Polish submarine Orzeł – still his fate is uknown to us.
Destroyer „ORP Błyskawica”.
Dar Pomorza – ship museum.
I guess it can be a way to meet Svetlana in Baltijsk – Russian city, still need to think about VISA to Russia.
Some touristic vessel stylized probably on a warship from XVI/XVII century.
Another monument in the harbor.
Entrance to the harbor.
City beach in Gdynia.
Destroyer Błyskawica – for many years museum.
Dar Pomorza’s model.
Burza, Błyskawica, Grom, Wicher – Polish 2nd republic destroyers. Most of them were evacuated to Great Britain. Wicher fought valiantly during German invasion and was sunk near Hel on 3rd of Semptember 1939.
Błyskawica (Lighting bolt).
Magic gate to better world.
Cafe Strych – fisherman hut. Thank you Paweł for showing this place. We had great afterparty here – with ppl from Three Cities and Warsowia.
And the pub inside it called Cafe Strych.
They have crafts in great prize of 12,50 PLN.
It was build around 1890 – near coastline. Now coastline is far away from hut.
Going to the hotel.
Day later – Gdańsk Główny, where I meet friends who traveled on bikes all Polish coast .
On 7.08.2021 I participated in Dragon – event organized by friends from Gdynia in nearby town Rumia – norther Poland, are of Trójmiasto (Gdynia, Sopot, Gdańsk). We played on 1250 points, with all rules avaible for 6th edition (like Kislev Allied Contingent under 2,000 army lists from White Dwarfs etc.). It was worth to go out from safe zone of Wrocław and spend five and half hour in train to Gdynia – unhapilly there are no personal teleports – I wish one to Moscow and another one for such events 😉 .
First game with Janek Wood Elves.
Fast cavalry were great target for Wood Elves archers.
Tried to shoot down Wild Riders, without big succes.
Knights Panter held down center.
Hans, hurry up – shoot them with nails.
Crew took a charge, but were were wiped out in hand to hand combat.
Knighs Panthers announced charge, but Wood Elves reaction was to hid in the forest.
As Ungols reaction was to flee, Wild Riders in madness charged flank of Middenheim Knights.
Heavily armored knights managed to broke Wild Riders.
Not great hide out, as threemen saw them. It was end of first game: 12:8 for Jan.
Some view on the other tables.
Dogs of War army, I see there mercenaries from Araby, Dwarfs, Kislev and Ogres.
Classical Empire.
On the first plan Bretonnia against Tomb Kings.
Family photo of my Middeneim, Hochland and Kislev Wrotizla force.
Second game against Krzysiek Dwarfs.
I strongly believed that Panthers will break Dwarfs in combat and then took they artillery.
During charge they had to test morale and they failed.
Then it was play on time, as catapult managed to hit my cannon eliminating crew.
Another nice game – Krzysiek won over me 15:5.
I mostly hate civil wars. A game against Krystian Empire was my third and last one.
Plan was to outflank Krysian force with heavy cavalry, broke at least two of his knights units and then took artillery.
Panic spread after Ungol Horse archers burned from fireball. All plan collapsed in a moment.
Knights Panthers tried to continue plan on the left flank.
Winged lancers managed to rally and came back.
They came back to close and were charged by two units of Empire Knights.
Final. Thank you Jan, Paweł,Tomek and any other for organizing great event and for a great atmosphere.
On after party in really interesting place I discovered my favourite beer from Kormoran brewery. It was interesting to talk about our hobby but not only.
Summary: – it was interesting to participate in such large event in so called „death system” – that system in reality never died and Dragon is a proof of it.
– there were many players from Trójmiasto and area, many Warsowians. Not sure about other cities. – I was the only one from Wrocław – hope that next year more of us will come here. – it was interesting to talk with many other players, wish to remember all your names next time. – at the end Paweł organized after party in really interesting place hidden behind modern buildings – it was somekind of inn which survived in the middle of concrete. We talked there with some part of Warsowians mainly about WFB but also about other systems or history. -many thanks for all drivers who really helped me in getting to Rumia and back and go to my hotel after party.
We played in Bolter.pl in Wrocław, game in Sharp Practice on 50 points per side. I had three units and Kris had two units. Russia against Germany, battle for some bridge, somewhere in Eastern Europe. It was fast game, maybe it was one hour or one and half hour. I had three groups of Line Infantry under 3 lvl leader, Polish Uhlans with lvl 1 leader and Jagers with leader lvl 2. Kris had also three groups of his elite infantry with 4 lvl leader and skirmishers – not sure about level of leader, but all costs were up to 50 points.
Russian three groups of infantry marched as first unit to the village. Then Tiff finished first turn.
In the middle of village is a bridge.
Russian Jager infantry marched to the table.
Also uhlans deployed successfully.
Germans are coming.
Main target is to secure other side of bridge.
German skirmishers runned to the bridge.
Infantry followed.
Germans are coming to the bridge and Russians are reading maps.
Comrade, Germans are coming.
Germans crossed bridge with infantry on and skirmishers get into the forest, to shoot down Russians.
Russians formed into the line and started shooting at skirmishers.
Not many scored a hit, but one hit they own leader in head – resulting with losing one level of leadership.
Germans formed line and started shooting.
Then fixed bayonnets and charged on Russians.
Cruel meele combat started – Russians losed five men – wounded or killed, one group broke due loses.
Followed by two more groups retreating. Morale of my army went down from eight we started to two.
Then, with another group broken, morale went down to 0. Russians fled the field.
Retreat!
Summary: – we played interesting game, with larger groups of soldiers under better leaders. – I did mistake and focused on shooting on large unit, jet I should activate uhlans and jagers different way – to cross river by fords. – after first shoots infantry should fix bayonnets and charge like did Kris.
Today we played in Bolter.pl with Krzysiek, Tomek and Krystian. For Krystian it was first game in Sharp Practice. Victory points were for taking camp occupied at start of the game by Spanish light infantry and to capture a supply train from German Russian alliance – or safety go out with it from a field of battle. On one side were Germans and Russians, on the other English and Spanish.
Germans arrived – taking tents with them.
Objective is here and is well guarded.
Russians column how it should be. There are some ppl who know something as well – one near bridge, another one next to farm animals.
Germans advanced.
English arrived and saw Russians on the other side.
Russian cavalry runned switfly to the bridge.
Spanish moved through obstacle and started shooting at Russians.
Russian infantry for few turns were blocked, God and Tzar wasn’t with them for a longer moment.
Cavalry arrived just in front of British talking with civilian.
Almost everyone started shooting at Polish Uhlans.
German line infantry tried to shoot down British skirmishers.
Russian infantry squabled if it’s correct crossroad or not.
Another round of shooting from Spanish side. Cavalry fall back.
British skirmishers hid in forest.
Russian Jagers finally took position behind fence. God was with them, as no one died from Spanish fire.
Cavalry realized, that supply train was left by German ally and need protection.
Gallop!
Russian line infantry finally moved.
Germans crossing bridge.
Spanish outflanking Russians.
British against Germans – both side started shooting.
Spanish at the Russian flank – not good.
Spanish charged on bayonnets – challenge was issued – Russian leader fled heavily wounded – but his unit won.
Leader in shame behind fence.
Uhlans galloping to supply wagon.
Wounded, killed and shocked on both sides.
Russian infantry started shooting at Spanish skirmishers.
British infantry started retreat under German fire – many shocked and wounded in they ranks.
Uhlans took care about supply train, but the battle was over. Victory belongs to England and Spain.
Summary: – it was really bad idea in taking lvl 1 leaders – I did this mistake. – sometimes that cards can be really disappointing – when your enemy activate his units and you stay and wait few turns for doing it – of course under enemy fire. Tiff is nice card, but sometimes It could be shuffled out. – still it was a great game and I hope that we will start all campaing from it.
On Thurdsay we meet with Egor in Graciarnia – he proposed a journey to Trójgarbhill, I agreed that I will think about and agree. Then I asked few friends if they want to go – only Miłosz answered yes on Saturday. We travelled with Egor as a driver to Trójgarb and to castle Cisy. By accident we were on event there – event in Cisy. It was a great trip last Sunday, thank you Egor and Miłosz – just wanted to publish those photos – to maybe share that event to the others – Poles as well as foreigns. It was combined Polish-Russian trip, wish more.
Somewhere in Lower Silesia, Poland.
Struga village in the Lower Silesia, parking where I found breakfast – good one – sausage plus some bread and mustard.
Thinking about respirator.
Unhapilly only in Polish.
After four or five levels I give up, I guess I have fear of heights – that space beetwen a stairs was a problem.
Going down that hill.
I suppose that something was there, probably some house – wooden one on top.
Felt like in medieval Europe.
Without cars, this photo could be almost medieval.
Shields, swords, bows – hapilly no Mongols 😉 .
Camp – like camps in Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Resting place of many ppl playing medieval roles.
Walk back, to go to Cisy Castle ruins.
Witch shop – friendly witch.
Still better than that steel tower.
Cisy received a moat again.
What can I say – just look and go down.
Cellar under it – without flamethrower you will no go inside.
Today we started new campaing with Krzysiek – during last one my Russians did not found moonshine recipe, so they changed area. Last time we played Russian – French campaign, now we started with Russia vs Wittenberg.
There are three people we should talk and capture.
First units arrived.
More units arrived – on Russians side line infantry, uhlans, two unit of Jagers and a cannon.
On Wittenberg side big unit of constripts and volunteers, two unit of skirmishers and a medium cannon.
Russians slowly moved toward one person to talk.
Uhlans galloped forward.
Wittenbergians marched forward in the middle and on the left.
Russian Jagers took position in the forest.
Advance!
One part of the unit separated and moved forward under leadership of adjutant.
Gallop at full speed!
Again infantry first shoot at uhlans to make them shocked, then defeated them in hand to hand combat.
Polish Uhlans left the field.
Skirmishers could return to they job.
After shoot Russian Jagers runned forward.
Another Russian unit advanced to the cover.
Russian Regular Line infantry started shooting on Germans.
Both skirsmishers started shooting each other.
Jagers tried to help they centre, but soon were surronded by enemy skirmishers.
Cannon started shooting from positions on the hill.
Germans take slowly advance – red dices are shocks, blue dices are losed soldiers.
Enemy outflanked Jagers.
Collecting shocks going on on Russian side.
Russian infantry made step back.
Cannon started firing grape-shots.
While the others started retread, brave artillerist covered they escape.
Shocked Jagers retreated.
Reload!
Fire!
German skirmishers took one guy supposed to be a spy.
Grape-shot on the hill!
After suffering lose skirmishers fled from the hill.
But it was over, wounded artillerists took gun and runned.
It was over. Russians took no one…
When Germans took all three potential spies.
Summary: – I guess that if you want to have fun from cavalry – u need to take them more – they are really cheap – group of 8 costs 5 points plus leader in case of uhlans. Maybe two groups of 16 can do special things. – we played on 61 points in Bolter.pl. – Sharp Practice is great system for narrative playing – one Krzysiek leaders broke his leg, other one was heavily wounded by Russian Jagers bullet.
Today we played small, fast game in Black Powder with Marian from Maniexite – direct link to his Austrians is here. He played 6th army corps of Hiller, 2nd division of Kottulinski: – Hoffmeister’s brigade, 31st pulk of Bieniowskis Hungarian infantry. – Wallmoden’s brigade, 7th pulk of Liechtensteins hussars, 8th pulk of Kienmayers hussars, half battery of 6th pounders guns. Reserve corps of Liechtenstein: – 2nd division of Prochaszkas grenadiers, brigade Steyrer composed of Legrad grenadiers from 9, 55 i 56 infantry pulks. 4th army corps of Rozenberg: – 4th column of Bartenstein, Newstädters brigade, 9th pulk of Czartoryskis German infantry (Galizien). Awangards of Klenau: – 1st Jagers batallion.
My Russians were composed of three batallions of infantry from modern day eastern Poland and Bialorussia (former territories of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth), Polish Uhlans in Tzar service and battery of cannons.
We played in centre of Wrocław – Bolter.pl, thank you for table and terrains.
First and only – I started game and only one batallion arrived – at least they officers read map correctly.
Marian’s hussars arrived – it’s small unit.
Austrians understood orders and read maps correctly.
All the Austrians came to the table, with hussars galloping on both flanks.
I guess that the others missed a road, where are they?
The rest of Russian brigade arrived moment later, on my second turn.
Uhlans got only one sucess when orders were give, – so they bravely galloped in column.
Most of Austrians were also marching.
Hussars on another flank.
Russian infantry succesfully reformed into attack columns.
Hussars charge meet Polish Uhlans countercharge.
And hussars retreated from battle field.
Russian infantry confused about execute the orders.
Austrians grenadiers came on the shoot distance.
One of the Russians battalions rushed toward enemies, but the other two did not heard orders and stood waiting and watching.
Bayonnets fixed in the middle.
Urah!
Ready, aim, fire, repeat!
Brave Russian batallion defeated after it was broken in hand to hand combat.
Uhlans without order were staying near the village and talking about they last combat.
Unhapilly infantry started shooting at Uhlans, then one unit did not understood order and marched to the left.
Austrian infantry are coming.
Austrian leader with his staff.
Uhlans left the field after several of them fell down.
Russians shaken or disordered tried to hold they ground.
Grape-shoot ready, fire!
Austrian unit after suffering few grape-shoots left the field.
Situation is not good but still we fight for Tsar.
Brutal hand to hand unit started, when Marian’s large unit charged Marian’s unit in my service.
As most of Russian unit’s were shaken – brigade started retreat under of cover of valiant battery of cannons.
That’s the end. Austrian took control over road and village.
Summary: – it was great, fast game of forces composed of one brigade per side – this game is great in big battles as well as in smaller ones. – as Marian said many times – forces many times weren’t equal – we weren’t sure if this time they were – it’s observation after the battle. But everyone can imagine 300 of Spartans against much more Persians, Wohlynian cavalry brigade fighting against German panzers during 1939′, defense of Paris against Vikings, battle of Vienna 1683 were besieged capital of Austria held until release force of Poland, German states and Austria itself released city from the siege, Rohan warriors defending Helms Deep, Gotrek and Felix fighting to the last goblin – forces weren’t equal many times. Our history or fantasy – doesn’t matter. Battles weren’t equal. Thank you Marian for those words. – I will try in the future write something more about this system – at least about orders, as this is that kind of game – when you give order to batallion or brigade you need to tell – march to the crossroads with a chapel, reform into battle column and march to bridge – if you fail, unit can read map and say – that village is not exist, are we on the appropriate road? – our community is located in Wrocław and we are open for international contacts as well as contacts inside our country – here is our page: Wrocławscy Bonapartyści. – let’s have nice weekend friends!
Today we played a battle which we play monthly – big battle with many participants – there were two Russian brigades my and Michał, Marian’s Austrian brigade, British brigade of Bartosz and on the other side French brigades of Mikołaj, Gargamel’s Italian brigade and Spanish brigade of Grzegorze. Thank you Bolter.pl for terrains and place we played. Our brigades started marching on the roads – each player came from different direction. There were three sides of conflict – Austria and Russia, United Kingdom and Spain and French with Italy. There were also Krzysiek as gamekeeper.
From bottom – on right Russians, then tin the middle Italians, after them on left British. On the top left Spanish, in the Middle Austrians and on top left French.
Russian brigades arrived.
Austrians came too.
British advanced.
Uhlans scouting area.
When Russians marched forward to the crossroads, Italians crossed bridge using one batallion, the other one took objective – which was farm animals.
Italian batallion took animals.
Uhlans charged by Spanish counter charged and won. In the middle Austrians took positions to the front and also left and right flank.
French cavalry arrived.
Uhlans galloped after Spanish cavalry fled.
Battle for the bridge started, also Russian on north realized that Spanish took a village.
The last action of uhlans, defeating Spanish cavalry – then they started reading map and squabling.
British valiantrly fighting against French.
Austrians took cavalry charge in they flank.
One of the Austrian batallion started shooting on fortified Spanish.
French cavalry in action.
Russian artillery started shooting on the Spanish inside village.
That way! No that way – this village is not so big on the map. I guess that four rounds of game I failed giving any order to move.
Austrians repelled French cavalry and waiting for infantry. Clash for a bridge going on.
British standing against French.
Battle for a bridge going on, one Italian batallion was broken.

My third batallion stayed there due to a problems with issuing orders.
Heavy fighting going on.
British close to a farm.
Russians came too late, still crossed a bridge.
Hand to hand combat beetwen Austrians and French.
Generally end of battle with a score: Draw.
Need to learn how to roll low on orders. My brigade was staying for four turns at least.
Summary: – It was great game, thanks everyone – will try to update some informations about this battle soon. – Next time need to split my brigade on two – one composed of infantry and another one of cavalry, as I had all time issues with giving order. Need to paint more cavalry – not sure if I can do it, I have a month. – in Wrocław we are avaible under this page: Wrocławscy bonapartyści. – After game with Bartosz we went for some lunch to the nearest pub SOTE – wine pub & food and next to Tacos Locos – hope next time more people will go with us.
