Bolt Action: Polish September 1939 Czwartek, List 12 2020

Yesterday night I painted Polish TKS with 20 mm NKM (najcięższy karabin maszynowy – heaviest machine gun). Around 570 tankettes TK-3 and TKS were used by Polish Army in September 1939′ – of whom around 20 were armed with NKM. Polish tank ace Edmund Roman Orlik fought on this vehicle and during one fight near Pociecha village he as leader of platoon managed to destroyed two German Pz.35 and Panzer IV commanded by Wiktor IV Albrecht of Racibor – who father was antinazist and his service was probably just revenge.

Polish tankettes were most numerous vehicles of Polish Army in 1939′. Next to them were 7-TP light tank – 132-134, wz. 34 – around 90, FT-17 – around 50 mobilized, Vickers E – around 32. There were also around 50 R-35 French tanks, but only three were used in combat.

In case of Polish armour, support vehicles, trucks and armoured trains – look on this great page: http://derela.pl/armcarpl.htm

Eugeniusz Lokajski -Warsaw Uprising 44′ Sobota, Sier 22 2020

Model przedstawia Eugeniusza Lokajskiego – polskiego lekkoatletę, nauczyciela w-f, żołnierza wojny obronnej 1939, żołnierza Armii Krajowej, uczestnika powstania warszawskiego 1944′. Zawdzięczamy mu mnóstwo zdjęć z powstania warszawskiego. Niestety, jak wielu Polaków zginął w powstaniu warszawskim, zasypany gruzem gdy szukał filmu do aparatu. Bohater trzyma w ręku aparat marki Leica Standard. Model wraz z innymi figurkami powstańców warszawskich dostępny jest: https://infamousjt.com/.

Model shows Eugeniusz Lokajski – Polish athlete, physical education teacher, soldier of Polish defensive war 1939′, soldier of Home Army, participant of Warsaw Uprising 1944′. We owe him many photos from Warsaw Uprising. Unhappilly as many Poles he died during uprising, strewn with rubble when he was looking for plate. In his hands hero holds camera of Leica Standard brand. Model is avaible with other Warsowian insurgents on: https://infamousjt.com/.

Trochę zdjęć z narzeczoną, z kotem, i bez kota. Some photos with fiancee, with catand without cat.

Warsaw Uprising 1944′ Czwartek, Sier 1 2019

Many, many years ago (exactly 75) – soldiers of Home Army (Armia Krajowa), NSZ (Narodowe Siły Zbrojne) plus many other smaller formations (including communists) started Uprising against German occupation in our capital Warsaw. On Polish side fought also people from other nations including Slovaks, Georgians, Russians, French, Alzatian, Jews, but there were also few German deserters and one black jazzman named August Browne. We should remember also Hungarians – Germans feared that they can switch side to Polish, so they moved out them from area of Warsaw.

Germans responded with organizing special battle group to eliminate freedom fighters – there were Germans and collabolators from eastern European countries – most brutal against Polish civilians and not effective against underground army – like RONA or Dirlewanger brigade. Generally in every nation are group of people that can be potential predators.

I will not write there what I think about leaders of Home Army who started Uprising, will not write about Stalin who stopped Russian soldiers. I wrote that because I think that we should remember brave girls and boys of Home Army and other formations, citizens of Warsaw – many of them paid biggest price – life – almost 200,000 ppl were killed, murdered, Warsaw culture centre of Poland was totally destroyed.

W hour behind me (it was 17:00 in 01.08.1944).

Is it about hate? No, it’s about memory of ppl, who lived and fought for what they loved and paid biggest prize. Those young people shouldn’t be foes, they should go to a pub, drink beer, enjoy board games, know each other. People should be friends and Germans, Poles, Russians or Ukrainians and many more nations are not from different planets – we share the same values – where is a problem? I admire national countries, different cuisines, different culture, languages but this war was so cruel, that I’m not sure why? Why people can be so evil? So this is not about Bolt Action, not about political things, just memory.

7-TP – polish tank of Semptember 1939′, was succesfull construction based on British Vickers tank, whose licencion were bought during inter-war period. Relative to Vickers it had few improvments, like better engine and periscope invented by inż. Rudolf Gundlach. Only 130 more were build, including version with twin turrets with heavy machine gun each.

During defensive war it was equal to any enemy tank, Nazi German or Soviet Russia alike. Few in numbers, with weak logistics facilities behind and without idea of creating big tank formation – they cannot change fate of war.

W zamierzeniu miał być to czołg który brał udział w walkach pod Tomaszowem Lubelskim. In idea this vehicle was inspired by tanks which took part during battle for Tomaszów Lubelski.
