Today we played three on three game in Mordheim – on one side were allied warbands of Orcs (Alessandro), Skavens (Marian) and Undead (Kuba), on the other side were Averlanders (Maciek), Bretonnians (me) and Dwarf Treasure Hunters (Kuba) warbands.
„After drinking at Happy Gallow close to the city gates three leaders agreed, that together they have better chance to clear merchant district from Chaos minions. Morning was really heavy to the Dwarfs who mixed Bugman Ale, Kislev vodka and Bretonnian brandy, but after all they promised on they beards, so they had to wake up. Three bands walked on empty, ruined streets to find evil minions and wyrdstone.”
Ruined city of Mordheim.Bretonnians…and more Bretonnians.Averlanders.Undeads.Skavens.Some Dwarf slayers waiting for combat and some brush.Undead generally looking for brains.Ghoul who wants to be faster than zombies.Orcs arrived, Averlanders and Dwarf crossbowmen from the tower attempts to stop them.Bretonnian archers ready to climb over ruined wall.They climbed above and started shooting.Brains, brains…Skavens hidden close to old graveyard.Rat Ogre and various members of Skaven and Undead warbands.Averlanders bravely fought with orcs.But orcs were hard fighters.Bretonnians prepare to take down as many enemies as they can. Vampire tried to jump from one building to tower, but failed his initiative test and fall down from high distance (9″).Remnants of Averlanders fled from this district.Fight beetwen slayers and Skavens.Ghoul tried to join fight on the street, but fell down jumping.Orcs run to fight Bretonnians.Surrounded by evil minions remnants of Bretonnians managed to perform tactical retreat.
Summary: – today there were six of us, we should slowly start playing campaing, maybe not next week, but we should be closer and closer. – some of the bands can still be done with actual Games Workshop offer, I had to look on that and probably write about it. – good side losed, as all our bands were broken at the end of this battle.
We played another games in Mordheim. First game was a clash beetwen Dark Elves and Dwarf treasure hunter around Sigmar temple occupied by bandits shooting at closest warband. Seconde game was a struggle of Bretonnians, Dark Elves, Dwarfs and Pirates of Sartosa.

So we played Warhammer in smaller scale again in a row.

Summary: – we tried something new, as four players on one table and it was good. We had to train before we start playing campaign. – we know we had to do some terrains for this skirmish, old houses or walls from Bolt Action perform well, but we need more. – I guess I will write some article about how to do warband for Mordheim without selling nerkeys 😉 .
Today with Alessandro we came back to ruined capital of Osternmark and we played three great games in city forgotten by Sigmar.

My Bretonnians lead by Armand de Beauville.Alessandro warband from Reikland lead by Heinrich Geyer.Graveyard in the middle was objective defended by Bretonnians. Some ruined city space including temple of Sigmar or Shallya, ruined tower of city watch.Bretonnians searching old graveyard, vision of the Lady headed Armand here. Lone archer running behind the wall.Empire mercenaries coming closer.Smell of black powder, arrows flew high.Hand to hand combat started, with Bretonnian men at arms armed with halberds were fastly eliminated.Knights joined combat, but it was over as scenario was won by Empire. Empire won, got more experience, but Bretonnians got four wyrdstones. Yeah!Another game, long street – both parties should go away on the opposite sides or one side shoul be broken.Follow me my friends, ethernal glory is before us. Both sides move forward, using as much cover as they can. Karl was hat by some nasty Bretonnian arrow, shouting bad things above onion eaters. Men at arms tried to stop enemy charge……but without success.Deadly combat started, again I had no option, but to retreat from the street. Our last game, we started in opposite corners. Even Bretonnians use cover, especially when they forgot about power of the Lady.Last remnants of Bretonnians fleeing the field, taking wounded comrades on they backs.
Summary: – it was great to visit Mordheim again, last time I had only bad memories about last game – facing hardly shooting Kislev with a bear wasn’t great experience with almost empty table without terrains, but it was ten years ago. – we have plans to play campaign in city of the damned, so yes, along WFB it will be my favourite system in Old World. – we played in Bolter as almost always we do and today we played next to really popular in Wrocław system Conquest, probably I could step in as I know players, but as I have WFB, Mordheim, Middle Earth SBG, Bolt Action/Chain of Command and Gods of War: Togo, I wouldn’t have time and time is some kind of value we cannot extend unfortunately.
