Last Tuesday we played with Karaś small battle in General d’Armee – we still learn this system and it was third game I played and second one with field marshal Karaś. I played with my Russians and Karaś played with his Prussians.
W ostatni wtorek zagraliśmy z Karasiem małą grę w General d’Armee – nadal uczymy się systemu i to była moja trzecia gra i druga w którą zagrałem z marszałkiem polowym Karasiem. Grałem swoimi Rosjanami i Karaś grał swoimi Prusakami.
Summary: – Prussians took bridge and route Russians.
Podsumowanie: – Prusacy zdobyli most i odrzucili Rosjan.
Today in Bolter.pl, Wrocław, Poland we played struggle beetwen those bad French plus Polish Vistula Legion and Prussia, Russia and one Poland regiment in the service of Tzar Alexander. Our battle was on two flanks and unfortunately flank held by Prussia got too many attacks from French side – they were broken.
Dzisiaj w Bolterze we Wrocławiu zagraliśmy potyczkę między tymi złymi Francuzami i wspierającym ich polskim Legionem Nadwiślańskim a Prusami, Rosją i jednym polskim regimentem w służbie cara Aleksandra. Nasza bitwa toczyła się na dwóch skrzydłach i niefortunnie skrzyło trzymane przez Prusy pękło z powodu licznych francuskich ataków.

Today we played on small battle (only three of us arrived – me, Jędrzej and Karaś) in Black Powder 2nd edition. On one side were French and on the other Spain and Russia. We played in Bolter.pl – Wrocław, PL. Many thanks for Bolter crew – today Basiorek and Rafał, as we got all terrains we need (today I was there around 6th hours).
Russianns came first and started shooting at French column with they gun battery.Russians in column to attack.French cavalry arrived on right flank.Russians turn right to welcome enemy cavalry.More and more French – Russians try to secure crossroads.Polish Uhlans Regiment in the Tzar service.French battalion took Russian battery during fight on bayonnets.Russian muskeeter batallion march to other flank…… too late to savve gun battery.Polish Uhlans charged and was countercharged.Spanish arrived in columns.Uhlans retreat after fight with cuirrasiers.French charged on unpreapared Spanish marching in column.Cavalry regiments meet again.One Russian infantry batallion was finally broken by French artillery batteries.Uhlans regrouped.Russian main battalion broken French battalion during fight on bayonnets.Spanish in column do not knew what was going on at the head of they columns.Brave batallion run for they lives…… as French batteries foccused all they fire on them.French cuirrasiers advanced.The battle was over. French lead by sir Błażej won over my Russians and Karp (if I’m correct) Spanish.
Summary: – great game as always, thank you developers from Warlord Games for it (many old game developers responsible for my belowed WFB). – we had some mindfuck with some rules, as we missed Krisu and Damian, still we had fun. – Wrocław, PL – is open to play with ppl from other countries 🙂 . – I know I had to paint more, thank you Marian for friendy reminder! To be shure, when I’m happy with painted batallion, Marian paints army. – wish all great weekend!
Music I love, even if policy sucks I like Russians and normality in contacts with Russia and Bialorussia. Let’s remember tragic fate of Romanow family.

🇵🇱 Po pomalowaniu batalionu rosyjskiej piechoty rok temu zacząłem się zastanawiać, czy w armii rosyjskiej służyły jakieś polskie jednostki. Wtedy właśnie odkryłem polskich ułanów. Decyzja zapadła szybko – od razu wiedziałem, że chcę ich włączyć do mojej armii carskiej.
Wielkie dzięki dla mojego znajomego z Maniexite, który najpierw podesłał mi odpowiedni link, a później także świetne ilustracje przedstawiające mundury różnych pułków ułanów w armii Imperium Rosyjskiego. Jeśli w przyszłości zdecyduję się dodać kolejny oddział ułanów, to najpewniej będą to Ułani Wołyńscy. Na końcu dodałem również ilustrację polskich ułanów, których wybrałem.
Ponieważ na naszej grupie na Facebooku dyskutowaliśmy o proporcach lekkiej kawalerii, postanowiłem dać sztandarowemu proporzec, który tam znalazłem. Tym samym pierwszy oddział mojej brygady lekkiej kawalerii jest już ukończony – i z pewnością w przyszłości pojawią się kolejne.
🇬🇧 After painting a battalion of Russian infantry a year ago, I became curious about whether there had been any Polish units serving in the Russian army. That was when I discovered the Polish uhlans. The decision came quickly – I immediately knew I wanted to include them in my Tsarist force.
Many thanks to my friend from Maniexite for first sending me the relevant link, and later also some excellent pictures showing the uniforms of different uhlan regiments in the Russian Imperial Army. If I decide to add another uhlan unit in the future, it will most likely be the Volhynian Uhlans. At the end, I also included a picture of the Polish uhlans I chose.
As we have been discussing light cavalry banners on our Facebook group, I decided to give the standard bearer a banner I found there. With that, the first unit of my light cavalry brigade is complete – and there will definitely be more in the future.
🇵🇱 Dziś ukończyłem drugi batalion piechoty brzeskiej, litewskiej, inflanckiej i smoleńskiej — a przynajmniej mam nadzieję, że taki pułk faktycznie istniał; solidne research’e wciąż przede mną. Na razie oddział maszeruje pod sztandarem Moskwy. Planuję stworzyć brygadę złożoną z trzech batalionów.
Modele w tej jednostce to mieszanka figurek od Warlord Games i Perry Miniatures — bardzo dobrze do siebie pasują. Do malowania użyłem standardowych farb Games Workshop, w tym shade’ów i contrastów (czernie, zielenie oraz odcienie skóry). Pełną listę farb dodam później do tego posta.
Na dziś nauczyłem się jeszcze jednej rzeczy o ładownicach — w tak dużej organizacji jak armia carska ktoś najwyraźniej musiał kiedyś wysłać nie te, co trzeba 😄.
🇬🇧 Today I finished the second battalion of the Brest-Litovsk, Lithuania, Livonia, and Smolensk infantry – or at least I hope such a regiment existed; proper research is still ahead of me. For now, the unit marches under the banner of Moscow. I plan to create a brigade composed of three battalions.
The models in this unit are a mix of Warlord Games and Perry Miniatures, and they fit together well. The paints used are a combination of standard Games Workshop paints, shades, and contrasts (black, green, and skin tones). I’ll add a full list later to this post.
As of today, I’ve learned one more thing about cartridge boxes – in such a large organization as the Tsarist army, I guess someone must have sent the wrong ones at some point 😄.
