🇵🇱 Pierwszych pięciu kislevskich strzelców konnych. Pomalowałem ich zarówno klasycznymi farbami, jak i contrastami. Ostatni raz lakierowałem modele wiele lat temu, więc nie mam pewności, czy zrobiłem to dobrze – użyłem matowego lakieru Vallejo. Tym samym kislevska stanica Wrotizla zyskała kolejnych pięciu żołnierzy. Łącznie daje to już sześć pomalowanych modeli -niewidoczny na zdjęciu skrzydlaty lansjer czeka jeszcze, aż dołączy do niego reszta towarzyszy.
🇬🇧 The first five Kislev horse archers. I painted them using both regular paints and Contrast paints. The last time I varnished models was many years ago, so I am not entirely sure whether I did it properly – I used Vallejo matt varnish. That means the Kislev stanitsa of Wrotizla now has five more soldiers. Altogether, this brings the total to six painted models – the winged lancer, not visible in the photo, is still waiting for the rest of his comrades to join him.
🇵🇱 Dzisiaj w Planszóweczce rozegraliśmy z Marianem z Maniexite pierwszą grę kampanii Circle of Blood – Ciężka noc w Mercal. Oryginalnie pierwszy scenariusz kampanii przewiduje 1000 punktów dla Bretonnii i 1500 punktów dla Nieumarłych, ale ponieważ graliśmy na zasadach 7. edycji, uzgodniliśmy nieco inne wartości. Ostatecznie armia bretońska liczyła 800 punktów, a armia wampirów 1200 punktów.
🇬🇧 Today at Planszóweczka, Marian from Maniexite and I played the first scenario of the Circle of Blood campaign – A Hard Night in Mercal. Originally, the first game of the campaign is set at 1000 points for Bretonnians and 1500 points for the Undead, but since we were using the rules of 7th edition, we agreed on slightly different values. In the end, the Bretonnian force was worth 800 points, while the Vampire force had 1200 points.
🇵🇱 Podsumowanie: – Grałem w tę kampanię wiele lat temu, jeszcze na zasadach V edycji. – Bretońskie oddziały wywodzące się z plebsu były wtedy nieco lepsze, a łucznicy mieli formację klina, która dawała im sporo zalet. – Bretońska piechota jest całkiem przyzwoita, ale jej Walka Wręcz i Morale mogłyby być nieco wyższe. WW 3 byłoby świetne – wtedy trafialiby Renera na 5+. – Gra z Marianem była bardzo udana i zupełnie inna od większości partii, jakie zwykle rozgrywam Bretonnią. – Warto też zajrzeć do raportu Mariana. – Kolejna gra – „Obrona wieży” – najprawdopodobniej za około trzy tygodnie.
🇬🇧 Summary: – I played this campaign many years ago, back in 5th edition. – Bretonnian peasant units were slightly better back then, and the archers had the arrowhead formation, which came with several advantages. – Bretonnian infantry is actually quite decent, but its Weapon Skill and Leadership could be a little higher. WS 3 would be great – that way they would hit Rener on 5+. – The game with Marian was very enjoyable and quite different from most of the battles I usually play with Bretonnia. – It is also worth having a look at Marian’s battle report. – The next game – “Defense of the Tower” – will probably take place in about three weeks.
🇵🇱 Po ponownym przeczytaniu noweli „Zabójca Trolli” w tłumaczeniu wydawnictwa Copernicus postanowiłem zdobyć figurki Gotreka i Feliksa. Od podjęcia decyzji do jej realizacji minęło niewiele czasu, a od momentu, gdy modele do mnie dotarły, do ich pomalowania upłynęło tylko odrobinę więcej.
I oto są – bohaterowie Starego Świata.
Pewnie mógłbym jeszcze coś tutaj poprawić, na przykład pomalować oczy – ale nadal nie potrafię robić tego dobrze.
🇬🇧 After rereading “Trollslayer” in the Copernicus translation, I decided to get miniatures of Gotrek and Felix. Not much time passed between making that decision and carrying it out, and only a little more passed between the models arriving and me getting them painted.
And here they are – heroes of the Old World.
I could probably still improve a few things here, for example by painting the eyes – but I still do not know how to do that well.
🇵🇱 Jakiś czas temu pisałem z Mariem z Maniexite o rozegraniu partii w klasycznego Warhammera Fantasy Battle, a dokładniej w V edycję – pierwszy system, w jaki grałem ponad 20 lat temu. Umówiliśmy się na bitwę na 1400 punktów: Bretonnia przeciwko klasycznym Nieumarłym z czasów sprzed podziału na Wampiry i Królów Grobowców.
🇬🇧 Some time ago, Mario from Maniexite and I were talking about playing a game of classic Warhammer Fantasy Battle, specifically 5th edition – the first system I played more than 20 years ago. We agreed on a 1400-point battle: Bretonnia versus the classic Undead from before they were split into Vampires and Tomb Kings.
🇵🇱 Podsumowanie: – mimo tylu lat jest to nadal fajna gra, chociaż szósta edycja była wg mnie fajniejsza. – mając tyle edycji pozostanę przy WFB do 8 edycji włącznie. – jest tyle modeli którymi nie grałem – Mario chce pierwszy raz zagrać Nagashem, ja myślę o Królu albo o Zielonym Rycerzu których nigdy nie użyłem. – mogę tylko podziękować Games Workshop, że dzięki niemu i WFB (Bretonnii) zacząłem w ogóle grać w gry bitewne. Wielkie dzięki dla ś.p. czasopisma Gambler i artykułu o grach GW – dzięki niemu dowiedziałem się, że są takie gry. By nie zapomnieć – dzięki sklepikowi szefowej na Igielnej we Wrocławiu, gdzie poznałem parę osób które znam do tej pory (Gargamel, Pawkens). – zasady muszę doczytać, bo po 16-17 latach nie wszystko się perfekcyjnie pamięta ;-). – młody chłopak (10 lat?) podszedł i zapytał, nie wiedziałem o co chodzi – a ten zapytał czy to WFB. – Planszóweczko – dzięki za świetne tereny do gier! – Dzięki Mario za świetną grę!
🇬🇧 Summary: – with so many years it was released it’s still good game, yet I prefer sixth edition. – when I have so many editions of WFB I will stay with them up to 8th. – there are so many models I never played – Mario wants to play his first game with old Nagash, I think about King or Green Knights which I never used. – I can say thank you to Games Workshop, thankfully for them and they WFB (Bretonnia) I started playing tabletop wargames at all. Many thanks to old monthly PC games magazine Gambler and article about hobby – without that I would never start playing. To not forget about shop on Igielna when I meet some people I still know (Gargamel, Pawkens). – I need to read all rules again, as after 16-17 years I don’t remember everything ;-). – young boy (10?) came and asked, I did not know about what he is asking and he asked if it’s WFB. – Planszóweczko – thanks for great terrains for our game! – Thank you Mario for great game!
Po kilkunastu latach od zakupu w końcu udało mi się ożywić ten model. Moja Bretonnia nareszcie doczekała się swojego monarchy. Na razie co prawda bez flagi i z czarną kopią – zabrakło mi pomysłu na kolor drzewca, a sama flaga gdzieś zaginęła wśród wielu podobnych części – ale najważniejsze, że król w końcu stanął do boju.

After more than a dozen years since buying it, I finally managed to bring this model to life. My Bretonnia has at last gained its monarch. For now, admittedly, he is still without his banner and armed with a black lance – I could not decide on a colour for the shaft, and the banner itself got lost somewhere among many other similar bits – but the most important thing is that the king has finally taken to the field.
