Today with Duderson we played in Bolter bigger game on 2,000 points per side, I had Russian fleet composed of Borodino, Varyag, Aurora, Novik, Ushakov and two squads of Buynyi destroyers – two on one base. My oponent has Japanese fleet composed of Mikasa, Niitaka, Izumu, Skikishima, Takachiho and one squad of Hayabusa torpedo boats. We played scenario number one – line battle with exiting on the opposite corner of the table. So it begun with setting our fleets on the table.
I had some plan with such setting of my navy.Admiral Duderson Japanese Imperial navy.Orders placed a way I should use in my next game. Why two orders – look at the end of how it looked on civilian transatlantic – ‚Titanic’.Several warships had chance o ramming my own fleet.Japanese fleet.I tried to hid behind island and then turn right to shoot all guns from right sides.Coming closer to minefield.One of the Buynyi class destroyers group tried to sunk enemy with torpedos. One of them scored hit on Mikasa.I losed them soon, then I losed Novik. One group of destroyers tried to clean minefield, but without success.Aurora moved thru minefield, unfortunately she was hit by mines and exploded.Borodino lost half of it strenght, including all artillery on right side because of some mine exploded.Varyag was hit by mine, but survived till enemy opened fire, sunking it in one successfull salvo.Victory belongs to Japanese mine of our biggest fun of using them in this game.Without many of it’s guns Borodino shared fate of the other warships.Admiral Ushakov still standind, firing salvo after salvo.Finally our Japanese fire focused on brave battleship finally sunking Ushakov.
Summary: – next time I should avoid mines, I tried to clear them, but without success, so I losed Aurora and Novik on minefield, Borodino and Varyag were heavily damaged because of them. – we have plans to play big game again 🙂 . – thank you Duderson for great game. – in case of result, it was achievement on the level of Tsushima for Japanese.
Stopping ship or warship weren’t simple, it was time costing opearation involving many people.
Today we played with Łukasz in Bolter on 1200 points. We used many great terrains I bought from Klaudia – she do a great job in many different scales for different systems. Probably we used too many terrains, but we wanted to see them on the table. So we started – probably my 10th game and Łukasz 2nd, I’m still learning, but at least know rules to the level I can play.

Summary: – this time Russia won against Japanese. – great game with many beautiful terrains, which will be avaible only for Togo in Bolter. – Togo – one of the systems I get in on 2022′ – one of the best systems I meet from GM Boardgames avaible in Bolter – I’m pretty sure English version of rules is coming soon.
Today we played with Marek in Togo, 1200 points per side. This battle was deadly to my Borodino class, as it was sunk first time. It was great game and I know that Borodino is not immortal.
Russian fleet with Varyag class, Borodino class, Pallada class and Novik class.Among Japanese were Mikasa class and two others. Japanese also had minefield.How orders to warships looks like/Borodino move in the middle toward enemies. I believed that it’s good idea to take fire on and wait for help of the other part of my force.Aurora received many hits.Borodino started fire.How Aurora looked after enemy fire.Borodino ammunition exploded, lose was disaster.Japanese fleet moving forward.Russian navy trying to escape, as with lose of Borodino and heavily damaged Aurora it was the best option to avoid enemy fire.Novik and Varyag escaped, Aurora was sunk by enemy. It was big Japanese victory as I losed 35 to 0.
Yesterday Friday with Witosław we played my last tabletop game in year 2022 – again we played on 1200 points – Witosław’s Spanish armada on my Russians Baltic Fleet. This time we had islands and Spanish had minefields. We played in Bolter who is official distributor of this great game developed by GMBoardgames studio.
We wczorajszy piątek zagraliśmy z Witosławem moją ostatnią grę w roku 2022 – znowu zagraliśmy na 1200 punktów – hiszpańska armada Witosława na moją rosyjską flotę bałtycką. Tym razem mieliśmy wyspy a Hiszpanie mieli także pola minowe. Graliśmy w Bolterze, który jest oficjalnym dystrybutorem tej świetnej gry stworzonej przez studio GMBoardgames.

On Friday I had pleasure to play my first game with Witosław and first game in Gods of War: Togo. It was great experience, I know that I want to play more games in this system and will buy some more warships and maybe one more fleet to play with friends who don’t own they own fleets. We played on 1200 points per player – I managed to field four warships, Witosław fleet of five (six – destroyers are two per base). So it will begin – my Russians fought against Witosław’s Spanish.
W piątek miałem przyjemność zagrać pierwszą grę z Witosławem i zarazem pierwszą grę w Bogów Wojny: Togo. To było świetne doświadczenie i wiem, że chcę zagrać więcej gier w ten system i zapewne zakupię więcej okrętów i kolejną flotę do grania z przyjaciółmi którzy nie posiadają swojej floty. Graliśmy na 1200 punktów na gracza, wystawiłem cztery okręty, Witosław flotę pięciu (sześciu – bo niszczyciele są dwa na podstawce). Tak więc zacznijmy – moi Rosjanie walczyli przeciwko Hiszpanom Witosława.
