Sharp Practice: Moonshine is back/Bimber wrócił. Środa, Kwi 10 2024 

Polish and Russians and Sharp Practice and Wittenberge tancreddebeauville 20:26

On last Saturday (06.04.2024) with Kris we dug out Sharp Practice and played in Bolter after 6 p.m., sitting there until 11 p.m. Again Bolter has come out to the community and on Saturday evenings that do not include RPG night, painting night or for example, two-day tournaments of master class, it will be available from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. – of course, it is available earlier, but since the gaming community is supported by Bolter, they are held there before 6 p.m. on Saturdays tournaments in all kinds of tabletop games, Sundays are also games days where tournaments happens. Many gamers would dream about such place!

Sharp Practice – a game from TooFatLardies is the skirmish type, in fact, to play and enjoy it, a box from Perry-Miniatures and rulebook may be enough – it is a budget system during the black powder era and we use it for playing Napoleonic Wars. I should have mentioned this in the article about miniature games I wrote some time ago, but there I wrote about systems that are easier to find players for, and this game is not one of them.

W ostatnią sobotę (06.04.2024) z Krisem odkopaliśmy Sharp Practice i zagraliśmy w Bolterze po 18:00 siedząc tam do 23:00. Bolter znowu wyszedł do lokalnej społeczności i w te soboty co nie ma nocy RPG, nocy malarskich czy np. dwudniowych turniejów klasy master będzie również dostępny od 18 do 23 – oczywiście dostępny jest wcześniej, ale że środowisko graczy jest mocno wspierane przez Boltera, to przed 18 w soboty odbywają się tam turnieje w gry wszelakie, co sobotę w inny system, oczywiście w niedzielę także odbywają się tutaj turnieje. Wielu graczy może marzyć o takim miejscu!

Sharp Practice – gra od TooFatLardies w rodzaju gier typu skirmish, właściwie do gry i czerpania z tego przyjemności może wystarczyć pudełko od Perrych i podręcznik – jest to budżetowy system w czasach ery czarnego prochu – my używamy go do wojen napoleońskich. Powinienem o tym systemie wspomnieć w artykule o grach figurkowych, który jakiś czas temu napisałem, ale tam wziąłem pod uwagę systemy w które łatwiej znaleźć graczy, a ta gra do takowych się nie zalicza.

Russian artillery prepared to open fire. Rosyjska armata przygotowana do otwarcia ognia.
Third objective keeped by Russian jagers. Trzeci cel pilnowany przez rosyjskich jegrów.
Ford was crossed. Bród został przekroczony.

Leader running away for his live. Dowódca uciekający by zachowa życie.
Grenadiers moving back, to keep leader tent. Grenadierzy maszerujący, by utrzymać namiot dowódcy.
Failed charge. Spalona szarża.
Russian grenadiers against dragoons. Rosyjscy grenadierzy przeciwko dragonom.
Duel of officers. Pojedynek oficerów.

Summary:
– it was great to play again with Kris in this system.
– first time it was a stalemate, as my force was able to held objectives.


Podsumowanie:
– świetnie było znowu zagrać z Krisem w ten system.
– pierwszy raz był to remis, jako że moje siły były w stanie utrzymać powierzone obiekty – cele dla przeciwnika.

 

Sharp Practice: Germans are coming to the village Środa, Sier 4 2021 

Germans and Polish and Russians and Sharp Practice tancreddebeauville 21:52

We played in Bolter.pl in Wrocław, game in Sharp Practice on 50 points per side. I had three units and Kris had two units. Russia against Germany, battle for some bridge, somewhere in Eastern Europe. It was fast game, maybe it was one hour or one and half hour. I had three groups of Line Infantry under 3 lvl leader, Polish Uhlans with lvl 1 leader and Jagers with leader lvl 2. Kris had also three groups of his elite infantry with 4 lvl leader and skirmishers – not sure about level of leader, but all costs were up to 50 points.

  • Russian three groups of infantry marched as first unit to the village. Then Tiff finished first turn.
  • In the middle of village is a bridge.
  • Russian Jager infantry marched to the table.
  • Also uhlans deployed successfully.
  • Germans are coming.
  • Main target is to secure other side of bridge.
  • German skirmishers runned to the bridge.
  • Infantry followed.
  • Germans are coming to the bridge and Russians are reading maps.
  • Comrade, Germans are coming.
  • Germans crossed bridge with infantry on and skirmishers get into the forest, to shoot down Russians.
  • Russians formed into the line and started shooting at skirmishers.
  • Not many scored a hit, but one hit they own leader in head – resulting with losing one level of leadership.
  • Germans formed line and started shooting.
  • Then fixed bayonnets and charged on Russians.
  • Cruel meele combat started – Russians losed five men – wounded or killed, one group broke due loses.
  • Followed by two more groups retreating. Morale of my army went down from eight we started to two.
  • Then, with another group broken, morale went down to 0. Russians fled the field.
  • Retreat!

Summary:
– we played interesting game, with larger groups of soldiers under better leaders.
– I did mistake and focused on shooting on large unit, jet I should activate uhlans and jagers different way – to cross river by fords.
– after first shoots infantry should fix bayonnets and charge like did Kris.
