🇬🇧 Yesterday I managed to complete the first unit of dragoons for my newly started army of the Crown of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. These are mercenary dragoons, which I will be using as Polish ones. Of course, another unit is already in the works — these are the dragoons from the starter set. For now, the unit has no banner, as none of the ones included in the box seemed to suit them. The game By Fire and Sword, for which these models are intended, is published by the Polish company Wargamer.

🇬🇧 Summary:
– Despite everything, I’m still able to paint miniatures in 15mm scale.
– The models are very enjoyable — metal soldiers and plastic horses.
-The most time-consuming part was making the bases. While the models were finished a few months ago, the base originally consisted only of Spring Soil from Scale75. That’s when products from the excellent Polish company Paint Forge came to the rescue — specifically the Wild Summer Lawn and Wasteland tufts.
🇵🇱 Podsumowanie:
– mimo wszystko jestem w stanie malować miniaturki w skali 15mm.
Neat figures mate and what a great movie, very exciting 👍🏻👍🏻, cheers and thanks for putting it up.
It’s Polish movie from old when Polish cinematografy were on higher level. Movies like Krzyżacy, Ogniem i Mieczem or Potop are great productions. Cheers Pat 🙂
Very nice! 🙂 I like the mounted and dismounted figures together and the bases have come out well! I still have a plan to paint some Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth troops at some point in the future so I’ll be following your progress with interest!
Thank you🙂. I need to paint another unit and then few more units plus leaders. At least I know that I can paint this scale. For which system you will paint yours?
At the moment I’m just thinking about trying skirmish games with Osprey’s „The Pikeman’s Lament” rules. These cover all the troop types for the period and I’ve always liked the look of Eastern European armies.
Maybe you should try with „By Fire and Sword” from Polish company Wargamer? It’s really good game mate 🙂 . When I paint my army, there will be more raports from games 😉 .
I’ll keep that in mind, since it’ll be some time before I think about starting any troops! I’ll look forward to your game reports!
